This is Thursday (yesterday), the eve of Chinese New Year 2021. For once, I need not have to think about cooking because I have ordered a small "Treasure Pot" or "Poon Choy" for our reunion dinner before the MCO was extended. This CNY eve was like any ordinary day and our day started with a breakfast in town. We are now allowed to dine-in but only 2 people per table. Hubby wanted to eat pork noodle at Pusat Makanan Sun Hor Lok, Ipoh. We haven't been here for a long time.
Pork Noodles and unsweetened coffee for 2 people.
Misua or flour vermicelli for me.
The current price per bowl is RM8.

Our Treasure Pot (poon choy) for reunion dinner was delivered to us about 7pm after the deliverer had made his round and I think we were the last receive.
The Treasure Pot (poon choy) came in this stainless steel pot and the gravy in the plastic container. The cost of this small Treasure Pot is RM238 (for 5 people).
We were told to heat up the gravy and poured it over the treasures in the pot. After that, the whole pot was placed over a low flame to heat up for about a minute or more.
Out of curiosity, I checked and I think there were about 16 treasures in the pot. The treasures consist of 5 prawns, 5 abalone, sharkfin, fresh scallops, dried scallops, dried oysters, shiitake mushrooms, sea cucumbers, pork tendon, bean curd sheet, fish maw, poached chicken, stewed pork, broccoli, carrot and napa cabbage.
Hubby and I enjoyed this Treasure Pot.
We ate about a third of the Treasure pot and kept about two-third in the fridge.
The night was still young and we decided to try the above roasted chestnut.
Hubby went out to buy 2 cans of beer 1664 blanc for us.
Nice to munch on the roasted chestnuts with a can of chilled beer.
For Jehovah enjoys his people; he will save the humble.
Let his people rejoice in this honor.
Let them sing for joy as they lie upon their beds.
