Beef Noodles And "Hop-On Hop-Off" KL Tour.

Two days after Christmas, we took one of the earliest train ride from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur. Upon reaching KL Sentral, we went looking for breakfast. It was drizzling but light enough for us to walk about without getting wet. A friend recommended beef noodles so we went looking for this place. We found the place and we ordered the following for breakfast.
Beef Soup Noodle @ RM 10 per bowl at Kedai Kopi Lai Foong.
Location: cross junction of Jalan H S Lee and Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock
Beef Noodle (dry version).
The plain noodle with soy sauce and soup were served separately.
Beef soup for the dry version.
We couldn't finish the noodle because the portion was too big for us.
Walking under the drizzle in Kuala Lumpur at 8.40 am.
After breakfast, we went looking for the Hop-on Hop-off pick up point.
It was still drizzling while we waited for the bus.
This is the bus stop or pick up point #16 in Petaling Street or Chinatown.
Here is how the bus look like.
I didn't snap a picture of the bus we boarded.
We were issued tickets in exchange for the vouchers a friend bought for us.
The bus routes (city and garden routes) and the bus stops.
When we first boarded the double decker tour bus, it was drizzling as you can see the rain droplets on the glass window. I was trying to snap a shot of the old KL railway station through the glass window.
The drizzle stopped and we went out to the open deck to get better view.
High rise buildings
Places we passed by.
Going under an overhead pedestrian bridge.
Passing by the Mid Valley Mega mall.
Passing by Little India.
Eye catching building.
Passing by KL City Air Terminal.
Hop-on Hop-off bus tour is one of the best way to explore Kuala Lumpur. No need to worry about getting lost or where to park your car.
Nice weather for sightseeing in the city.
Will continue with more photos in my next post for tomorrow.

Fried Noodle & Ban Mee At Restoran Hao Hao, Menglembu.

Sometimes, we do get bored and want to try something new for breakfast. A friend has been telling us of a place that they frequent for their breakfast. There were about 5 to 6 stalls to choose from. Hubby chose to try the fried noodle.
Fried mixed noodles (yellow and rice vermicelli). Ingredients: bitter melon slices, meat and fish slices, fish balls and fish cake slices, beansprout etc.). I can't remember the price.
Hubby's breakfast.
My choice for breakfast - Ban mee soup version.
Given a choice, I prefer the hand torn or pinched version.
(Ingredients: fried anchovies, minced meat balls, greens, etc.)
A cup of unsweetened coffee aka Kopi C.

A chubby doggy resting on the 5 foot way.
I stopped and took out my phone.
Doggy turned away from me, pretending I wasn't there.
I tried to get her attention but she turned further away.
Doggy: "Oh! Please get lost and stop disturbing me!"
After a few snapshots, I started to walk away.
Doggy: "At last! Now I can enjoy some peace!"

Do you want more and more of God's kindness and peace?
Then learn to know him better and better.
For as you know him better,
he will give you, through his great power,
everything you need for living a truly good life:
he even shares his own glory and his own goodness with us!

Dinner At Restaurant Choy Kee, Ipoh Garden.

No cooking on this particular evening because we had a dinner date with our friends. We didn't have any particular place so someone suggested Restaurant Makanan Laut Choy Kee in Ipoh Garden. We might have been to this restaurant before but I can't remember when.

Initially, we were planning to order fried noodles but it was not to be. We ended up ordering the following dishes and rice for dinner.
Assam Curry Deep Fried Tilapia.
Sizzling Tofu with minced meat and egg.
Steamed Taro and Belly Pork.
Stir fried baby French Beans.

You sent abundant rain upon your land, O God,
to refresh it in its weariness! There your people lived,
for you gave them this home when they were destitue.
