A Kitten And A Dog

We were seated at the clay pot rice stall in the hawker centre when I noticed this little kitten alone by itself. The boss and his wife are kind to this little kitten and they fed it whenever they are open for business.
Somebody has given something to the little kitten. It took a sniff first.

And it started to eat.

Hello, little kitty ... you are so cute!

We were visiting a couple at their home and they have a dog in their compound. It barks but doesn't bite. It showed its dislike for us. I tried to be friends but it wouldn't come near me.

It was moving about and barking at me as I stood there trying to take its picture.

Maybe it doesn't like what I was doing.
Yes, it doesn't trust me and my camera! Lol!

Loving God means doing what He tells us to do,
and really, that isn't hard at all;
for every child of God can obey Him,
defeating sin and evil pleasure by trusting Christ to help him.

My Ambra Tree Attacked By Beetles!

Previously, I have posted about my Ambra tree (Ambarella or Kedondong) and at that time it was growing very healthily and fruiting abundantly. We have harvested and enjoyed its fruits many times. To read about it, you can click here.
My Ambra tree has been infested with the pests twice before and each time after a thorough trimming, it recovered and grew back and fruited again.
But sadly, this 3rd time round, the pests just refused to go away. After I have balded it, it grew new branches and was doing very well. Just as it started to flower and the fruits were beginning to form, the pests came back again. Not willing to use any pesticides on my fruit trees, I have decided to cut down and uproot my Ambra tree!
Starting signs of the pests problem!
The pests ate up the leaves and leave behind these black sticky thing.
And also these! Could these be their eggs?
Introducing to you the culprits that destroyed my Ambra tree.
These are the yellow beetles with black spots.
At first I thought they were cute and pretty.
But now they are my enemies!
As I was cutting off the branches, I noticed that there were more than one pests problem!
This is still stuck in the pot. I will have to try to get it out of the pot.
I haven't decided what to plant in the pot after this.
My healthy Ambra tree before the enemies attacked!

And since, when we were His enemies,
we were brought back to God by the death of His Son,
what blessings He must have for us now that we are his friends
and He is living within us!

Hazy Days, Gloomy Days!

Today, we get to see the nearby hills after 2 days of rain but the haze is still over us and have not fully clear yet. We do missed the bright sunny days with clear blue sky.

Its been weeks of hazy days and everything around us seems so gloomy. Many people are down with influenza, cough and itchy throats. The elderly, sickly and babies are encouraged to stay indoors. There were times we could smell a burning scent in the air.
About 2 weeks ago, we were on our way to town to get some breakfast and after that, to run some errands.
These hazy days made me tired and sleepy, even though it was morning!
Having done our errands, we were on our way home when we saw this car decorated with flags in front of us. I told hubby to drive closer.....
Oh, slow down, please slow down...I am trying to focus my camera on this car!
This car with the flags is very eye-catching!
In spite of the hazy days and gloominess, we Malaysians celebrated Malaysia Day on the 16 September!
We were comfortably in the car and my heart went out to these motorists who were breathing in the haze particles.
While waiting for the traffic light to change green, I snapped this fences running parallel to each other.
Stop for the traffic light is red!

With His own blood - not the blood of goats and calves -
He entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and
secured our redemption forever.
