Happy Lunch With Ex-Colleagues At Cheong Loi Restaurant, Ipoh.

It was a Friday! Taking advantage of the long lunch hours to meet up for a lunch outing with ex-colleagues. It was quite some time since we last met. We were to gather at the office car park. I was early so I occupied myself taking some snapshots. All government departments are currently preparing for the national day celebration which falls on the 31st August.

Old colleagues get together again at Cheong Loi.

We started with a big bowl of salted vegetable, white tofu, fish balls, pork slices, etc.

Deep Fried Black Pomfret on top of light soy sauce. 

Steamed Taro or Yam with pork belly slices.

Chicken cooked with bitter gourd slices.

Braised tofu in soy sauce with chili sauce for dipping.

Lala or clams.

Leek cooked with roast pork.

This lunch was for 6 people and the total cost of lunch was

MYR 100.00 (approx. 23.28 USD)

After lunch, we stopped to shop at one of the nearby small stalls. See the pink plastic bags. Stopped for a photo shot before walking to the car.

On the way back to the office where we parked our cars.

Great company, good food and reasonable price.

Work happily together. Don't try to act big.
Don't try to get into the good graces of important people,
but enjoy the company of ordinary folks.
