Ostriches & Deer At Veterinary Department Ipoh.

We passed by this Veterinary building quite often but this is the first time I requested for hubby to stop for me to take snapshots of the animals which can be seen from the road. It was a Sunday morning and the gate was opened and instead of stopping by the roadside, hubby drove through the gate, into the compound.
Veterinary Department, State of Perak.
This pair is so cute! Front or Back, can you see the difference?
So elegant with its head lifted high like doing the cat walk.
This ostrich seemed excited to see us.
All about the Ostrich.
Then I walked to the deer cage.
These two are so loving.
This one was sunbathing.
These prefered the shade.
All about the deer.

Hubby contributed the following photos and videos.
The brave and curious one!
I think it is scolding my hubby for taking its photo. Lol!
It was swinging its head from side to side!
Can you see hubby's shadow?
Watch this video to see how the ostrich swing its head from side to side.
The whole day was cloudy like this picture.

Linking to Saturday's Critters.

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water.
At that moment heaven was opened,
and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove
and alighting on him.
(Matthew 3:16, New International Version-NIV)

    1. We also rarely get to see ostrich here, unless we go to the zoo or the ostrich farm.

  6. Lovely capture on the ostriches and cute deer’s! I have seen only emus here and many emu forms came up in our state but all become failure due to defraud. Liked the foggy ambiance you experience there.

  10. I believe they do this swaying with their wings out to make themselves look bigger, and scare off any predators. So this is not a vet for people's pets. Where do the animals come from? Do they treat injured wildlife that people bring them?

    1. Hi Ginny, I do not know why the ostriches and deer were kept there. This is where the people's pets do for their treatment, including wild life. Have a wonderful new week!

    1. Thank you, Jeanna. I was very wondering why it was swinging from side to side. Maybe it is trying to frighten us off.

  17. That seems a very small space for both the ostriches and deer. In the wild they cover miles and miles of territory. I'm sad to see animals kept in such small confines.

    1. I hope it is only temporary. They would love being in the open to roam about freely.
