We had a long weekend with a string of public holidays falling one after another from August 31st to September 4th which is a total of 5 days inclusive of Saturday and Sunday. Monday was declared a public holiday for the spectacular achievement in the recent SEA games. And the long weekend happened to coincide with the school holidays. During such times, we normally choose to stay at home to avoid the massive traffic congestion and crowds in public places.
On Independence Day, we came to know that our friends and family were looking forward to visit Kuala Sepetang for the first time together with their grand kids. Hubby and I have been there with my ex-colleagues few years ago. It was later in the evening that we heard from our friends that some of their family members decided not to go on this trip and there were 2 places available and whether we would like to join them. Initially, we were wary of being caught in traffic jams on the expressway and to cut the story short, the next morning we were found travelling together with our friends to Kuala Sepetang for a one day trip.

Before we started our journey, we had dim sum breakfast at Zui Le Xuan Restaurant in Taman Pertama, Ipoh. Dim Sum and Chinese tea must go together. This time, we had green tea.
Delicious dim sum served from this stainless steel trolley.
We had steamed pork rib with taro, fish paste with century egg, fish balls and porridge.
2 types of steamed buns - minced meat with blended ginger and bbq pork buns.
Century egg roll served with mayonnaise and egg tarts.
Lastly, fish balls, steamed chicken and glutinous rice and fried sesame seeds with glutinous rice.

It was a cool day for travelling.
We passed by this cement factory. If I am not mistaken, it is the YTL cement factory. Do please correct me if I am wrong.
It is visible from the expressway.
We need cement for construction but the processing of cement contributes to air pollution. Hopefully, there will soon be a greener and safer way.
"Don't you understand either?" he asked.
"Can't you see that what you eat won't harm your soul?
For food doesn't come in contact with your heart,
but only passes through the digestive system."
And then he added, "It is the thought-life that pollutes.
For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts of lust,
theft, murder, adultery, wanting what belongs to others, wickedness,
deceits, lewdness, envy, slander, pride, and all other folly.
All these vile things come from within;
they are what pollute you and make you unfit for God."
(Mark 7:18-23, The Living Bible-TLB)
