English Scones And Tea At Ye Olde Smokehouse, Cameron Highlands

We have made many trips to Cameron Highlands but this is the first time we visited the Ye Olde Smokehouse in Cameron Highlands. One of us has a friend working there and so we stopped by for a visit and of course to taste their English scones and tea.

We were interested in the homemade jam and English scones.

We want to enjoy the flowers and garden. We took pictures and left behind our footprints.

After the photography session, it was time to sit down to enjoy our tea and scones.

I drank my Cameron tea with milk minus the sugar.
We each had a scone.
Strawberry jam and clotted cream for our scones.
This homemade strawberry jam is so delicious.
This was a wonderful experience for me, eating English scones and sipping tea in a beautiful garden.
These was our lunch on the 2nd day of our holiday.
Walking to the car park.

For the 2nd day's dinner, we had hot pot again just to finish or use up whatever food or ingredients we brought to the highlands.
This time we had 3 packets of fresh mushrooms added to the hot pot. We finally managed to finish all the food and nothing was wasted. We spent the rest of the evening chit chatting and looking through all the photos we had taken. For future trips, we hope to take along some card games to play.
This cute Snoopy dog picture was hanging in our room.
The 2nd night was not as cold as the first night.

Good news from far away is like cold water to the thirsty.

  19. Ahh those scones. It has been many years since I went to the Smokehouse. I found the dated interior not quite to my taste, preferred the outside.
