Today is 7th day MCO. I am keeping count and staying updated with the current situation through the news and various social media. My smartphone is now waiting at the phone shop. It can only be repaired after the MCO is lifted and businesses allowed to resume. I am thankful that I can temporary use an old phone to stay connected with family members and friends. I am using this old phone to take snapshots but the quality of the photos is not very good.
These orang firecracker flowers add colour to my garden.

Our breakfast and lunch was just simply bread and jam. For dinner, I cooked a vegetable dish, soup and steamed rice for 2 people.
Sauteed broccoli and prawns with garlic.
Boiled soup with an old cucumber, carrot, red dates and pork. This soup is good for warm days.
Simple dinner for 2.
It rained early yesterday morning and again in the evening. This snapshot was taken just after the light shower at about 6:10 pm.
An antique typewriter displayed at the National Museum.
This typewriter was in use in the office when I first started work in 1978.
Hear my prayer, O LORD; listen to my plea!
Answer me because you are faithful and righteous.
Don't put your servant on trial,
for no one is innocent before you.
In your unfailing love, silence all my enemies
and destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.
(Psalm 143:1,2,12, New Living Translation-NLT)
We didn't have time to settle everything huh. I'd have done a few things if I'd known about this MCO earlier! E.g. use my birthday coupon at the shops, used some vouchers.
ReplyDeleteI have a few more bills to pay but have to wait till everything is over.
Deletecan pay online.
DeleteCertain places don't have online e.g. Koperasi.
DeleteYou mean you are a member of a Koperasi and need to pay the membership fees? But are they even open?
DeleteNot fee but monthly saving. Not open so have to wait.
DeleteI love broccoli :)

DeleteI like the broccoli with prawns dish. The orange firecrackers are beautiful. I like the orange colour. I had used those kind of typewriter before during my teenage years holiday job at a clinic.
ReplyDeleteI think those type of typewriter can still be used but only thing is whether the ink ribbon is available.
Deleteprawns! yummy! what a satisfying meal for both of you.

DeleteI had to google MCO, we are in self-isolation here in Toronto, all non-essential business are closed down effective tonight.
ReplyDeleteI have seen Americans use shelter in place.
This afternoon our PM has extended the MCO another 2 weeks. Take care and stay safe.
Delete...In 1889, the Smith-Premier, made the first typewriter to bear the Smith name, it was manufactured in Lyman C. Smith's gun factory on South Clinton Street in nearby Syracuse, New York. Alexander T. Brown, an employee, invented the machine, and Wilbert Smith financed the construction of the prototype. It sure is a small world. Thanks Nancy for sharing, take care and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom for providing the facts. You too take care and stay safe.
DeleteBread and butter and jam.....now you can’t go wrong with a meal like that!
ReplyDeleteI’ve been cooking everyday, too. I guess we all have! It’s crazy how this virus has affected practically the entire world! I know God is in control and can bring good from even this!
Let's pray that virus will be contained and things go back to normal soon. Meanwhile stay safe and healthy.
DeleteWhat a beautiful place! I'm lovin' it :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear.
DeleteI think your photos are very good, especially considering this is an old phone. Sorry you have to wait so long to get your other phone repaired.
ReplyDeleteToo bad the phone chose such a time to play up and refuse to work.
DeleteGreat photos and love the great ideas for lunch/dinner. I love me some broccoli that's for sure. You stay healthy and have a great day.

DeleteSo they call that typewriter an antique? You should have seen the one my grandfather had! The arms were so long! I guess that's what you call the metal things with letters on the end.
ReplyDeleteI remember using a Selectric.
