Harvesting Home Grown Veggie For Dinner

After about a week plus without rain, it has started to rain again. This time, it usually rains in the afternoon or evening.

Sunrise at 7:25am.
Hubby's vertical garden.
Bok choy growing in hubby's vertical garden.
Some were ready for harvest.
These were harvested for dinner.
Minced meat with egg patties, ginger slices and bok choy in soup.
Sitiawan mee sua or wheat noodle in soup for dinner.
Mee Sua will always reminds me of my childhood years in Sitiawan.

For the reverence and fear of God are basic to all wisdom.
Knowing God results in every other kind of understanding.
"I, Wisdom, will make the hours of your day more profitable and
the years of your life more fruitful."
Wisdom is its own reward, and if you scorn her,
you hurt only yourself.
(Proverbs 9:10-12, The Living Bible-TLB)

Pork Noodles On The Last Day Of 2022.

This was Saturday, the last day of year 2022.

Sunrise at about 7am.
We cancelled our morning walk because we had breakfast appointment with friends.
I ordered pork noodle while the rest ordered fried noodles.
Pork noodle: flat rice noodle (koay teow) + meat balls + minced meat balls + meat slices + napa cabbage. Even though I am almost fully recovered from my gastic/wind problem, I am still staying away from spicy and sourish food.

Updates on hubby's vertical gardening projects.
Pok choy or siew pak choy growing in vertical PVC pipes in front of the house.
Pok choy or siew pak choy in plastic containers or recyclable plastic bottles at the side garden.
There was no rain for the past week and the weather is dryer and warmer.
~~~~~
Simple home cooked dinner.
Minced meat balls + goji berries + egg soup.
For hubby, I cooked shabu-shabu noodle for him.
I bought this shabu-shabu pre-fried noodle from the pork shop. The noodle is fine and easy to cook and eat.
As for me, I love mee sua so I cooked mee sua for myself.
Sitiawan mee sua given by hubby's friend.
Blanched broccoli and home grown green brinjals or aubergine, drizzled with garlic oil and oyster + soy sauce.
Wishing everyone the best for the New Year 2023.
I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful
and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you.
You will still be eating last year's harvest
when you will have to move it out to make room for the new.
I will put my dwelling place among you, and I will not abhor you.
I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.
(Leviticus 26:9-12, New International Version-NIV)
