Hubby and I have our own favourites when it comes to eating out for breakfast.
Shredded chicken with flat rice noodle or kai si hor fun is one of hubby's favourite noodles. The seller will add in the chicken liver for hubby and sometimes when he scoops the soup onto the noodle, hubby gets a few pieces of dried scallops too. The seller uses dried scallops as one of the ingredients for boiling the soup. I like this noodle but I do not eat it as often as hubby does.
One of my favourite noodle is curry noodle. There are a few places that serves good curry noodles. I like the soup version while hubby likes the dry version. I will only order the dry version when we eat at Yee Fatt Tea House, Kampar Road, Ipoh which is famous for their Yee Fatt Dry Curry Noodles.
We love local fruits such as the above Jackfruit. Once in a while, we get blessed with Jackfruit from our friend's garden but most of the times, we buy from a roadside stall in our area.
I was blessed with 2 home grown avocado from a friend. I was told to keep the fruits for about a week before consuming them.
About a week later, one of the avocado turned to this colour.
I cut it open and dug out the big seed.
I scooped out the flesh and spread some on a cream cracker.
It was nice with the cracker but I prefer eating it as it is, on its own.
For dinner, I boiled Bak Kut Teh or Meat Bone Herbal Tea.
Ingredients used: 1 big packet of Chinese herbs bought from the Chinese medical shop, 1 pig stomach, pork ribs, Shiitake mushrooms, and tofu puffs bought from Bentong.
We had steamed rice with the bak kut teh and home made pickled ginger and pickled belimbing buluh.
One morning while walking home from our morning walk, I saw something that gave me a scare. When I saw this from afar, it looked like someone was hanging from the branch of this tree. As we got nearer, we saw that it was a shirt used to wrap a Jackfruit. Good thing, I saw this in broad daylight and not when it was dark.
Photos credited to Shirley who shared these 2 photos with me. At first glance I thought it was a feather or a dried flower. I used Google Lens to identify this funny looking insect. The nearest I could find is the Arctornis l-nigrum moth. Please let me know if it is something else.
This one looks really cute. It looks like an old man with yellow face, 2 eyes, long hairy pointed ears and long white beard. I have not come across such funny looking insect before. Through the sharing of photos, we get to see and learn new things.

Yes, if you want better insight and discernment, and are
searching for them as you would for lost money or hidden treasure,
then wisdom will be given you and knowledge of God himself;
you will soon learn the importance of reverence
for the Lord and of trusting him.
