Christmas Cookies & Flowers From A Friend

The following sky photos were taken in the 1st week of this month, December.

Morning sky at 7:20am.
That morning, we get to see the sunrise even for a short while.
Hubby and I love to eat this messy dry colour noodles.
I will always order flat rice noodle (koay teow) while hubby will order the yellow noodle.
The thick curry gravy almost completely covered the noodle.
I need to stir up the noodle just to check if I had the right plate of noodle.
~~~~~
This was about 1 week later.
This was at 6:50am.
The sky was dark but it didn't rain so we had our morning walk.
My stomach was not feeling well for a few days so I went to the government clinic near my area. While waiting to get my medication, I saw this little girl looking at the Christmas decoration. For your info, my stomach is feeling much better now. Doctor's advice: refrain from spicy and sour food.
~~~~~
So for the time being, I will be a good girl.
For next morning's breakfast, I ordered 1 popiah (spring roll) to share with hubby. What about the chili on the popiah? Fortunately, it was more sweet than spicy.
The popiah tastes good. A must order on our next visit.
I ordered shredded chicken noodle or kai si hor fun.
This is quite good but not as good as our regular stall in my area.
Hubby ordered prawn noodle (combination of yellow noodle and rice vermicelli).
~~~~~
Yesterday, a close friend drop by to give me something.
I received these 2 flower bouquets from her. They are not real flowers. She has a few so she gave me 2.
She suggested that I can use the flowers for decoration.
I decided to decorate my mother's mother-in-law tongue plants with the yellow flowers.
She also gave me the above Christmas cookies.
Nine pieces of yummy cookies or berry tarts with a star in the centre.
Visit Expo At Stadium Indera Mulia On A Sunday
It was Sunday morning. Even though we like the shredded chicken noodle in our area, hubby wanted to go to Kafe Little Nam Yeong in town. What attracts him there is their blanched jelly fish and beansprout dish.
2 bowls of shredded chicken noodle (koay teow) or kai si hor fun.
Side order: blanched beansprouts and jelly fish with Thai sauce.
After breakfast, we went to church and after church, we went to the indoor stadium.
ifood Expo at indoor Stadium Indera Mulia. It was the last day of the expo.
Food machinery.
This machine can make "cendol", green flour used for making dessert.
Saw this bunch of oil palm fruits at one of the stalls.
Saw this cute thing at another stall.
We came away from the expo with 2 pairs of walking shoes. One for hubby and one for me.
~~~~~
That evening's dine-out dinner with friends.
I think this is Marmite chicken.
Brinjals or eggplants with minced pork.
Steamed Tilapia with Nyonya sauce.
From this side, the fish with wide open mouth can be seen.
This is the best and most tasty dish of the evening.
Total cost of dinner = RM93.80 for 4 people.

For salvation that comes from trusting Christ -
which is what we preach - is already within easy reach of each of us;
in fact, it is as near as our own hearts and mouths.

Waxed Duck, Bottle Gourd Soup & Nai Pak Choy

 This was a nice cool and clear morning. We got ready for morning walk.

Sunrise at 7:02am.
On the reverse side - Kledang Hill.
We settled for shredded chicken noodle for breakfast at our regular coffeeshop.
The boss added a chicken liver to hubby's bowl of kai si hor fun (shredded chicken with flat rice noodle).
He also added something to my bowl: 2 pieces of fried fish cake.
2 bowls for RM11.00, no extra charge for the add-ons.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner on a rainy evening.
I boiled soup with bottle gourd, carrot, goji berries, red dates and roast pork bones.
Steamed 1 waxed duck leg. This is hubby's favourite.
Stir fried home grown nai pak choy and ladies fingers with pork slices.
Our dinner on a rainy evening, eaten with steamed brown rice.
The bowl with more soup was hubby's. I like to drink and also eat the soup ingredients. That is the reason why I prefer not to eat rice.
But, O my soul, don't be discouraged.
Don't be upset. Expect God to act!
For I know that I shall again have plenty of reason
to praise him for all that he will do.
He is my help! He is my God!
Growing Nai Pak Choy In My Garden
I read in the news that we can see the  'Blood moon' Lunar Eclipse on the 8th November from 4:02pm to 9:56pm. When the time came, I didn't go out to check because it was raining and it was still raining when I went to bed.
6:45am
I didn't expect to see this bright big moon the next morning when we started out on our morning walk. The sky was clear and the moon was near to earth.
I only have my handphone camera but am glad to be able to capture these shots.
These are the best I can get with my handphone camera.
Breakfast before walking home.
Shredded chicken noodle (kai si hor fun) and coffee.
The cut chili padi gives it extra oomph.
Growing Nai Pak Choy in my garden.
I just sowed the seeds and let them grow on their own. I should have replanted to allow space for them to grow well but I was lazy.
Too much water from the rainfall is not good for green leafy vegetables, so I harvested the nai pak choy before they get spoiled and blanched them for dinner.
2nd portion of melt in the mouth bbq pork (char siew) with blanched nai pak choy. Placed both in 1 plate to avoid washing extra plate. Lol!
Our simple dinner with steamed brown rice.
My Ixora plant is blooming after being shifted to a place with full sunlight.
Simple Dinner At WK Claypot Chicken Rice, Taman Silibin Ria, Ipoh
On this particular morning, a beautiful sunrise greeted us when we started out on our morning walk.
#1 - Beautiful sunrise in spite of the dark clouds at 7am.
#2 - 7:05am
#3 - 7:10am.
#4 - 7:15am.
After morning walk, we had breakfast at one of our regular coffee shop. Ordered shredded chicken noodle (kai si hor fun). I think the boss must have forgotten to add the reddish prawn oil to the noodle because they looked pale. Business was good that morning and the boss was managing the stall all by himself. Hubby ordered Chinese tea and I ordered Herbal tea.
Reached home at about 8:10am. View of Kledang Hill.
That late afternoon, I received a new keyboard. Younger son bought a better keyboard for me to replace the previous one when he heard that some of the keys were not functioning well. The previous keyboard is now connected to the laptop for easy typing.
~~~~~
I didn't cook that evening, so we had dinner at WK Claypot Chicken Rice. We thought of ordering claypot chicken rice but the wait was quite long. So we ordered ready cooked dishes with white rice.
Fried fish.
Pork belly with wood fungus and carrot.
Sweet sour mustard green.
These dishes are like home cooked dishes.
Hubby paid so I don't know the exact price of each dish.
