Lunch At Q Roaster, Bandar Cyber, Ipoh

We happened to be in Bandar Cyber, and initially we intended to eat at a friend's shop but it was closed. Then I remembered this place that someone shared on Whatsapp chat. It is just behind our friend's shop.

After browsing through the menu, ordering and payment is at the counter. I would prefer them to provide order chit for customers to tick and then proceed to the counter to order and pay for the food.
While waiting for the food to be served, I took some photos.
Just some simple decorations on the wall.
Sour mustard green was to first to be served @ RM3.50.
Hubby enjoyed it all by himself because I am still refraining from spicy and sour food.
A quarter roast duck,
accompanied by the above: egg wrappers, cucumber strips, spring onion and 2 types of sauce.
Oiled rice for hubby and plain white rice for me.
Place a piece of roast duck, cucumber strips, spring onion, sauce and wrap it up to enjoy.
An enjoyable lunch for both of us.
Would love to return to try the pipa duck and herbal duck.

At the same time, same evening, these birds were perched on the power lines (right side).

I took this snapshot on our morning walk.

Simple Dinner At WK Claypot Chicken Rice, Taman Silibin Ria, Ipoh

On this particular morning, a beautiful sunrise greeted us when we started out on our morning walk.

#1 - Beautiful sunrise in spite of the dark clouds at 7am.
#2 - 7:05am
#3 - 7:10am.
#4 - 7:15am.

After morning walk, we had breakfast at one of our regular coffee shop. Ordered shredded chicken noodle (kai si hor fun). I think the boss must have forgotten to add the reddish prawn oil to the noodle because they looked pale. Business was good that morning and the boss was managing the stall all by himself. Hubby ordered Chinese tea and I ordered Herbal tea.
Reached home at about 8:10am. View of Kledang Hill.
That late afternoon, I received a new keyboard. Younger son bought a better keyboard for me to replace the previous one when he heard that some of the keys were not functioning well. The previous keyboard is now connected to the laptop for easy typing.
~~~~~
I didn't cook that evening, so we had dinner at WK Claypot Chicken Rice. We thought of ordering claypot chicken rice but the wait was quite long. So we ordered ready cooked dishes with white rice.
Fried fish.
Pork belly with wood fungus and carrot.
Sweet sour mustard green.
These dishes are like home cooked dishes.
Hubby paid so I don't know the exact price of each dish.
Linking to Skywatch Friday.
I've blotted out your sins; they are gone like the morning mist at noon!
Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free.
Lunch At Restoran Char Siew Yoong, Jalan Peel, Kuala Lumpur
This was the 3rd and last day in Semenyih. At about 11am, we drove out from Semenyih to Cheras. We have arranged to have lunch with elder son at Restoran Char Yoong, Jalan Peel.
We were ahead of the peak lunch hour so we were able to get a big table to accommodate 7 of us. By about 11:45am, customers have to wait to be seated.
We ordered 2 plates of their "melt-in-the mouth" char siew.
The "melt-in-the mouth" part is actually the fat part.
1 plate roast pork with crunchy skin.
Braised chicken feet.
This may seem gross to some but this is hubby's favourite dish. This used to be a cheap dish but now it is considered a delicacy to some people.
2 bowls of sweet sour mustard green aka choy keok.
This place is known for their "melt-in-the mouth" bbq pork or char siew.
Non-stop chopping of roast pork and bbq pork.
After lunch, we were taken to K.L. Sentral where we waited for our train.
We were early so we had some time to enjoy some coffee with our friends.
Thanks to our friends for their time and hospitability during our 3D2N stay with them. Some even took leave to spend time with us.
This was a wonderful and memorable time spent with our friends and our sons.
Our train departed from KL Sentral at 3pm sharp and we reached Ipoh at about 5:45pm. We had dinner at WK Claypot Chicken rice before going home. We didn't want to wait for the claypot rice so we ordered the ready cooked dishes and rice.
Sweet sour pork rib.
Chicken curry.
Sweet sour mustard green.
This is the 2nd time we had this dish but cooked differently.
I saw this antique phone at the lobby of a hotel in Penang that we stayed in.
A new Big Apple nursery & kindergarten in our area. Not sure if this is a new extension to the existing one which is behind this building.
For you have a new life.
It was not passed on to you from your parents,
for the life they gave you will fade away.
This new one will last forever, for it comes from Christ,
God's ever-living Message to men.
Beef Noodle Breakfast & Cooking King Oyster Mushrooms
No morning walk on this particular morning (two Thursdays ago) because it looked like it was going to rain and we didn't want to be caught in the rain.
Morning sky at 7:04am.
A snapshot of these blooms with low sunlight.
~~~~~
We drove to Jelapang village for beef noodle. We were informed by a friend that this shop is now open for business after they had closed for some renovation.
We chose a table in the newly renovated shop lot.
Looks like everything is new.
I ordered a bowl of flat rice noodle (koay teow) in clear soup, a bowl of beef soup "ngau lam tong" and some fried stuffs for 2 people.
I heard that the younger generation has taken over the cooking of this beef + white radish soup. There is room for improvement on the soup, hopefully, the soup will soon reach the quality cooked by the older generation.
Hubby and I shared this bowl of noodle.
I like their fried stuffs.
Back home, I spotted this ripen fig before the birds get to it.
My sister-in-law gave me a packet of fresh king oyster mushrooms. I cut some to fry omelette for lunch.
My miniature hibiscus plant is doing well.
Sunset at 6:55pm
It is not often I get to take snapshots of sunsets.
~~~~~
Simple no rice dinner for 2.
Sliced king oyster mushrooms cooked with minced meat.
I added some napa cabbage to the spicy sour mustard green that my friend gave us.
Can horses run on rocks? Can oxen plow the sea?
Stupid even to ask - but no more stupid than what you do
when you make a mockery of justice and corrupt
and sour all that should be good and right.
