This is part 2 and the last post for the murals in Prawn Village in Tanjung Tualang. If you are interested, you can click here for part 1.

Udang Galah or fresh water prawns or some will refer to as big head prawns painted on the wall.
Pulleh Rickshaws
This looks like the old Yau Tet Shin Market or Round Market in Ipoh which is now replaced by The Octagon, Ipoh.
This one looks like the Railway Station in Ipoh.
This is probably the Kellie's Castle in Batu Gajah.
A cute sculpture of a dog with spectacle.

Jesus replied that the time had come for him to return
to his glory in heaven, and that "I must fall and die
like a kernel of wheat that falls into the furrows of the earth.
Unless I die I will be alone - a single seed.
But my death will produce many new wheat kernels -
a plentiful harvest of new lives.

There are also nice sculptures, antique cars and other interesting things in Prawn Village besides wall murals (click here) and stone paintings (click here).

For whatever God says to us is full of living power:
it is sharper than the sharpest dagger,
cutting swift and deep into our innermost thoughts and
desires with all their parts, exposing us for what we really are.

Muah Chee & War Memorial In Ayer Itam, Penang

On the 2nd day in Penang. After breakfast, our friends took us to Ayer Itam. No, not for assam laksa as we were still full from our breakfast. We got down from the car to take a walk.

We passed by this durian stall.
On we walked and I saw this familiar man and his muah chee stall. We bought muah chee from him when we were here in 2017. That is 5 years ago.
I love muah chee so I have to buy a small pack for us to share.
This wall mural is on the opposite side. I crossed the road to take this snapshot.
~~~~~
On our drive out from Ayer Itam, we came to the war memoral park near the roundabout.
These structures are on our left side and the following snapshots were taken from a moving car.
World Peace Memorial with a flock of doves in flight.
The Overseas Chinese Anti-War Memorial Park.
Ayer Itam War Memorial.
These photos were taken from a moving car.
This memorial park (2011) is a memorial to the Chinese people of Penang who died under the Japanese Occupation in World War II.
Soldiers and their army truck.
This sculpture was made using fiberglass with bronze effect finishing.
Linking to Monday Mural.
Take your share of suffering as a good soldier of Jesus Christ,
just as I do; and as Christ's soldier, do not let yourself
become tied up in worldly affairs,
for then you cannot satisfy the one who has enlisted you in his army.
Discovering More Of Ipoh
One day last week I was with a friend in her car, going to meet another friend. On the way, she mentioned that she have to make a detour to another part of Ipoh town to clear some document at the AirAsia ticketing office. The building is opposite the Restoran Pusing Public, located at a T-junction where Jalan Veerasamy meets Jalan Horley.
When she parked her car in front of the AirAsia office, there before us were some wall paintings. I told my friend to go ahead and settle whatever she needed to settle and that I want to take some pictures of the wall paintings.
A picture of a young woman on the right side.
A toddler on the left side.
Mother and child playing hide and seek.
Mother and child enjoying themselves.
It brough a smile to my face. Bonding is so important.
I missed the time when my boys were little toddlers.
Now they have both grown up. Time really flies.
I took a walk to the front of the building and found these pictures.
A woman carrying a child with a piece of cloth.
I have not learned to use this method with a cloth.
A smiling elderly woman.
Saw this figurine hanging on the wall. I think its made of metal strips.
Saw a very tall figurine, made with black metal strips down the steps, standing next to the fire hydrant.
Happy faces on the other side of the building.
Saw this behind the building.
I thought I had finished taking snapshots of all the pictures. I walked up the steps wanting to find my friend. On the wall at the landing I saw this superwoman picture.
Another picture facing the superwoman.
A picture of a woman, a sewing machine and the 3 small compartments are for holding rolls of thread.
Looking at all these picture, I am only guessing and I may guess wrongly. I think it has something to do with women acquiring skills to be able to help herself and family. The superwomen on the wall acts as an encouragement.
She sews for the poor and generously helps those in need.
She has no fear of winter for her household,
for she has made warm clothes for all of them.
She also upholsters with finest tapestry;
her own clothing is beautifully made
- a purple gown of pure linen.
