Yellow Noodle & Chinese Rice Wine Chicken Soup

After morning walk and breakfast, we will walk home and we will pass by many houses and some lovely garden.

This is one garden which the owner takes great care.
She has a garden with all kinds of flowering plants in it.
The above was a fig from my garden. Actually it was a twin fig (2 figs joined in 1). It burst opened before it could ripen probably due to the access water from the frequent downpour. The inside of the fig was all exposed and even when ripen I will not dare eat it.

For lunch, I cooked barley ginkgo and bean curd sheet sweet drink or tong sui.
I love this sweet drink because of the ginkgo nuts.
A friend gave us some yellow noodle and beansprouts. I was too lazy to fry the noodle so I just blanched both the noodle and beansprout and mixed them with the sambal dried prawns. I am not a fan of yellow noodle but I ate this because it tasted delicious with the sambal dried prawns.

Dinner: Yellow noodle and home cooked Chinese wine chicken soup.
The noodle was too much for 2 of us, so I kept half for dinner.
For dinner, I cooked Chinese wine chicken soup. I still had 1 bottle of store bought wine, so I used it first. Next time, I will use my homemade wine.
Ingredients: lots of ginger strips, wood fungus cut into strips, free range chicken, Chinese rice wine, water, salt and sugar to taste. I used 1 bottle of wine and 1 bottle of water. This time I forgot to add in goji berries and red dates.
Even without the goji berries and red dates, this soup tasted delicious. This soup is great for cool rainy days. Don't worry, you won't get drunk from drinking this soup. It only helps to warm and nourish your body.

Your own soul is nourished when you are kind;
it is destroyed when you are cruel.
(Proverbs 11:17, The Living Bible-TLB)
