Bubur Cha Cha & Pork Rib Wan Ton Noodle

Our morning walk was cancelled because the sky was dark and looked like it was going to rain anytime.

Sunrise at 7:25am.
Dark cloud looming over us at 7:50am.
7:55am.
~~~~~
Breakfast at Restoran Memorable Good Taste.
This is where we will go whenever we want to enjoy a good wan tan noodle.
We both ordered bubur cha cha.
I really enjoyed this bowl of bubur cha cha.
It has sweet potato, yam, beans, sago, coconut milk and sugar.
These were brought to the table first: pickled green chilies, stewed sweet sour pork rib, sui kao+wan tan dumplings.
Homemade thin wan tan noodle.
On this particular morning, they use lettuce instead of choy sum.
This was our breakfast for 2 people.
Peace lilies from my garden.
An antique jukebox at a cafe.
It was lighted up so I assume that it is in good condition and can still play music.
Oh, for the years gone by when God took care of me,
when he lighted the way before me
and I walked safely through the darknes;
Prawn Noodle, Fish Noodle, Chinese Rojak & Bubur Cha Cha
 This was a Sunday morning. We attended the Sunday service in Jelapang.
Sunrise at 7:15am.
We had breakfast before going to church.
Hubby ordered prawn noodle.
I ordered from a stall which I have not tried. I chose fish noodle with ginger egg omelette. It was nice but a bit sweet to my taste. Next time, I will prefer to order the item with pickled vegetable (hum choy).
Beautifully trimmed trees in a friend's house.
After church, we drove to Jelapang town for a light lunch.
We ordered a small plate of Chinese rojak. It was served with the sauce in separate bowls.
Finally, I get to eat bubur cha cha, while hubby ordered coconut water.
The wicked will finally lose; the righteous will finally win.
Lunch (Hakka Food) At Greenfield Ipoh Town
This was the last Thursday of October, 2022. It was the day for our ladies' lunch. It was our monthly get together with our ex-colleagues. Greenfield (Hakka food) in Ipoh town at 18, Jalan Yau Tet Shin, Ipoh was the chosen venue since none of us have been there before.
We were the early customers, reaching just before 12pm.
We took a table for 5 of us.
The following were the dishes we ordered to suit everyone's taste. We requested S-size for all the dishes because we wanted to taste more varieties.
Yam abacus seeds @ RM28.
Seafood noodle @ RM15.90
Stewed puppy duck @ RM28.
2 plates of bean curd rolls = RM13.80
Steamed 3 types of eggs @ RM16.
Seafood rice @ RM15.90
For drinks we ordered 1 milk tea (RM4.90) + 4 honey lemon (RM19.60)
Lastly, followed by the 3 types of sweet drink (tong sui) as dessert. We couldn't decide what we want, so the server suggested that we order all 3 to share and taste.
Guiling gao + red beans sweet drink (tong sui)
Peach gum, dried longan, white fungus, goji berries, and lastly looks like papaya.
This is by far the best bubur cha cha tong sui or sweet drink.
The sweet drink is RM6.90 x 3 = RM20.70
Total bill for 5 people = RM162.80
Overall it was an enjoyable lunch and looking forward to the next lunch.
Some photos to show you around the place.
For it doesn't make any difference at all whether a Christian
has gone through this ceremony (of circumcision) or not.
But it makes a lot of difference whether he is pleasing God
and keeping God's commandments. That is the important thing.
Dry Curry Noodles At Kedai Kopi Yee Fatt, Ipoh
This was a Sunday morning. We were early and decided to have breakfast before going to church.
I suggested dry curry noodle at Kedai Kopi Yee Fatt.
We were one of the early customers. Plenty of empty tables.
Only a few tables were occupied.
Halfway through our breakfast, the place was filled up.
Hubby ordered a cup of unsweetened black coffee.
I didn't order any drink because I had plain water in the car.
We ordered dry curry noodles, with thick curry gravy.
(our preferred noodle, chicken curry and bbq pork)
When we reached home after church, our neighbour was waiting for us with the above for our lunch.
She bought for us a packet of nasi lemak, 2 pieces of yam cake, and....
2 packets of sweet porridge (bubur chacha).
Good thing we decided to return home straight from church.
I forgot where I took this snapshot of these Spider lily flowers.
A dear friend sent me the following photos that she took on her morning walk.
Photos credited to Shirley T.
A pair of garden snails.
At one time, I used to have problem with garden snails in my garden. They will eat up all the leafy vegetables and tiny seedlings. Good thing, I no longer have this problem.
And now just as you trusted Christ to save you,
trust him, too, for each day's problems;
live in vital union with him.
Steamed Fish, Blanched Broccoli & Porridge For Dinner
Looks like the rain is back. The weather is much cooler now and we only need to use the fan to sleep.
Sunrise at 7:20am.
Hubby stopped to buy a packet of mee goreng or fried yellow noodle and he requested for sambal to be added. RM2 for this noodle.
Hubby's breakfast: Fried noodle and milo.
My breakfast: Curry puffs and milo.
I bought 4 lemons at RM1.80 per piece.
We love to drink lemon juice with honey on hot days and it is soothing to the throat.
~~~~~
Lunch from our neighbour.
Chive dumplings or chai kuih.
Yam cake with lots of crushed peanuts.
2 tubs of tong sui (bubur cha cha).
Sponge cake.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner.
Simple cooking to avoid sweating in the kitchen on a hot day.
Blanched broccoli, drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Steamed grouper fish slice with ginger strips.
Drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Plain rice porridge
Hubby likes to add fermented bean curd to his bowl of porridge.
This porridge is light and easy to digest.
Those with good appetite will need more than 1 bowl.
Laziness brings on sleep,
and an appetite for rest brings on hunger
