This was a Sunday morning. We were early and decided to have breakfast before going to church.
I suggested dry curry noodle at Kedai Kopi Yee Fatt.
We were one of the early customers. Plenty of empty tables.
Only a few tables were occupied.
Halfway through our breakfast, the place was filled up.
Hubby ordered a cup of unsweetened black coffee.
I didn't order any drink because I had plain water in the car.
We ordered dry curry noodles, with thick curry gravy.
(our preferred noodle, chicken curry and bbq pork)
When we reached home after church, our neighbour was waiting for us with the above for our lunch.
She bought for us a packet of nasi lemak, 2 pieces of yam cake, and....
Good thing we decided to return home straight from church.
I forgot where I took this snapshot of these Spider lily flowers.

A dear friend sent me the following photos that she took on her morning walk.

A pair of garden snails.
At one time, I used to have problem with garden snails in my garden. They will eat up all the leafy vegetables and tiny seedlings. Good thing, I no longer have this problem.

trust him, too, for each day's problems;
live in vital union with him.

Hello Nancy,
ReplyDeleteYour meals look delicious. It is nice of your neighbor to bring you lunch. The Spider Lily is a lovely plant. Neat captures of the snails. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Thank you, Eileen for hosting. Have a great week.
DeleteSo nice of your neighbour to buy food for you. Once a while, I have snails as guests in my garden. Pretty nuisance.
ReplyDeleteI only used once the snail pest pellets and they are all gone except for the tiny ones which don't do much damage to the plants.
DeleteI would like to try sweet porridge.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing and enjoy your weekend 💛
You are welcome, Kiara.
Delete...what huge snails!
ReplyDeleteYes, huge ones.
DeleteI am quite sure you have the world's best neighbours - and I am sure that you reciprocate their kindness.
ReplyDeleteGood neighbours are priceless treasures.
DeleteYour dry Curry Noodles looks good. Bookmark Kedai Kopi Yee Fatt for this. How did you keep the snails out of your garden?
ReplyDeleteI used snails pest pellets. I used only once and all disappeared except the tiny meeny ones which don't do much damage to my plants.
DeleteYour food always looks so appetizing! The snails are good photos and interesting critters. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you and a wonderful new week.
DeleteI don't like curry or anything spicy, just saying. Great photos as usual
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jo-Anne. Curry or spicy food is not for everyone.
DeleteVery colorful your post, I like it, and the food appetizing, happy weekend
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nassah. Happy new week.
Delete1955 is five years before my time.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
That means you are my junior. Have a good week.
DeleteWhat's that by the side in the poster? It looks like lor mai kai? You did not order that? It looks so good!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, that is lor mai kai. I didn't order because there were only 2 of us. If you order lor mai kai, they will ask whether you want have some thick curry gravy poured over it. Nice.
DeleteYou have a very kind neighbor.
ReplyDeleteCurry is good, but i like the vegetable curries only.
There is one restaurant serving very delicious vegetable curry.
Deletedry curry noodles sound delicious...
ReplyDeletelove to try it one day
I usually go for wet curry noodles (soup version). This is the only place I will order dry curry.
DeleteSnails are interesting creatures.
ReplyDeleteThey are as long as they are not eating up my plants. Lol!
DeleteThese Spider lily flowers really look real spiders. I don't like spiders so I not such if I would like these flowers. Have a wonderful Sunday Nancy.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
I don't like spiders big or small but I like these flowers. Thank you, Paul.
DeleteWhat a loving neighbor. Snails are so fascination to photograph. I'm sure yours are so much bigger there than here.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Yvonne. Some snails can grow really big.
Deletewhat a beautiful post my friend. Regine

Thank you, Regine.
DeleteMy tummy is rumbling with hunger as I look at your dry curry noodles. LOL! I have also seen snails in a pair like this in my garden.
ReplyDeleteYes, especially during the rainy season when the ground is wet. They disappear in the dry season.
DeleteThe snails look nice!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shiju.
DeleteHow rare it is to see snails.
ReplyDeleteI think the snails would freeze to death in winter.
DeleteOh I'm a fan of that dry curry noodle! I have come to realise they aren't widely available. The more common type is where the noodles are in soy sauce rather than thick curry.
ReplyDeleteNice lunch from your neighbour.
I think this is the only place where they give generous amount of thick curry gravy. This is the only place I will order dry version. Elsewhere I will order the soup version of curry noodles.
