Lunch At Red Mountain Sun Yin Loong White Coffee, Ipoh

I came to know about this place through a link sent by a friend. So when this friend was in Ipoh recently, we went to check out the place and at the same time to have lunch there.

Business hours at the gate.
Their off day is Tuesdays.
Order and payment counter.
We need to tick, take the order chit and pay for the food here.
While waiting for the food to be served, we got busy taking snapshots of the surrounding.
Looking up, I saw this above us.
This was right in front of us.
The side tables can only sit 3 people.
Blended white coffee at RM25 for those interested.
Coffee beans.
~~~~~
We ordered the following for our lunch.
Rolled Nasi Lemak and Toast.
Rolled nasi lemak: Glutinous rice with sambal and ingredients as filling wrapped in banana leaf (something different from the common nasi lemak).
2 sets of toast with butter and kaya sprinkled with peanut chunk.
Curry puff2 - 2 pieces.
Chee cheong fun with minced meat topping and sauce.
White coffee with crunchy biscuit.
I like this set of antique looking cup and saucer.
My friend ordered iced lemon and I ordered ice white coffee (no photo).
Plain warm water came in this floral mug with cover.
Light lunch for 4 people - RM56.50
More indoor photos to share with you.
Decoration on wall.
A passage way.
More tables for customers.
We chose to sit at one end of the long wooden table at the centre with high chairs where the big yam leaves are.
Water boiler for making tea and coffee.
Do come back to enjoy some outdoor photos of this place in my next post.
Boiled Cassava Root With Palm Sugar Syrup
This was last Friday morning. After morning walk, we drove to Menglembu for breakfast. Hubby ordered hor hee noodle. I walked over to the next shop to take a look at what they have at the bakery shop.
I bought this piece of garlic bread. I took half of it for breakfast.
I also bought this piece of curry puff to try and I had it for breakfast too. I like both the garlic bread and curry puff. Kept half the garlic bread for mid morning tea but by then it had soften and was no longer nice.
I also bought 2 polo buns for my neighbour who was on leave from work. Her feedback was that these polo buns are very nice.
These were what I ordered for breakfast that morning.
Toast and coffee for sharing.
Hubby wanted a small piece of butter to be added to the coffee.
A small piece will do because too much won't taste good.
Wild mushrooms growing in my flower pot.
Our friend has space to grow cassava or tapioca plants.
That afternoon, he called to inform that he has pulled out 1 plant and the roots were waiting to be collected.
I removed the skin from the cassava roots and took out a small portion to boiled with some salt and water. The rest I kept in the freezer for later use.
I love boiled cassava root with pure palm sugar syrup without any sugar added. I don't get to eat this often because my garden has no more space for growing tapioca plants.
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure
and full of quiet gentleness. Then it is peace-loving and courteous.
It allows discussion and is willing to yield to others;
it is full of mercy and good deeds.
It is wholehearted and straightforward and sincere.
And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace
and reap a harvest of goodness.
Steamed Chicken With Dang Gui, Red Dates & Goji Berries
After our morning walk, hubby went out to buy his breakfast.
He bought steamed rice roll with yam bean filling (chee cheong fun). He added fish cake, fish ball and he opted for curry gravy instead of mushroom gravy.
I stayed home to make coffee and re-heated 2 curry puffs in the oven for myself.
Remaining strawberry apples and kiwi fruits for lunch.
The tiny apples were very crunchy and sweet.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner.
Steamed chicken, angled luffa and steamed rice.
Steamed half a chicken (seasoned with some salt) with red dates, goji berries and ginger slices.
Home grown angled luffas with dried shrimps.
Saw this pair of garden snails while on our morning walk.

When the Lamb broke the third seal,
I heard the third living being say, "Come!"
I looked up and saw a black horse and
its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.

Steamed Fish, Blanched Broccoli & Porridge For Dinner

Looks like the rain is back. The weather is much cooler now and we only need to use the fan to sleep.

Sunrise at 7:20am.
Hubby stopped to buy a packet of mee goreng or fried yellow noodle and he requested for sambal to be added. RM2 for this noodle.
Hubby's breakfast: Fried noodle and milo.
My breakfast: Curry puffs and milo.
I bought 4 lemons at RM1.80 per piece.
We love to drink lemon juice with honey on hot days and it is soothing to the throat.
~~~~~
Lunch from our neighbour.
Chive dumplings or chai kuih.
Yam cake with lots of crushed peanuts.
2 tubs of tong sui (bubur cha cha).
Sponge cake.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner.
Simple cooking to avoid sweating in the kitchen on a hot day.
Blanched broccoli, drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Steamed grouper fish slice with ginger strips.
Drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Plain rice porridge
Hubby likes to add fermented bean curd to his bowl of porridge.
This porridge is light and easy to digest.
Those with good appetite will need more than 1 bowl.

Laziness brings on sleep,
and an appetite for rest brings on hunger
