I came to know about this place through a link sent by a friend. So when this friend was in Ipoh recently, we went to check out the place and at the same time to have lunch there.
Business hours at the gate.
Their off day is Tuesdays.
Order and payment counter.
We need to tick, take the order chit and pay for the food here.
While waiting for the food to be served, we got busy taking snapshots of the surrounding.
Looking up, I saw this above us.
This was right in front of us.
The side tables can only sit 3 people.
Blended white coffee at RM25 for those interested.
Rolled Nasi Lemak and Toast.
Rolled nasi lemak: Glutinous rice with sambal and ingredients as filling wrapped in banana leaf (something different from the common nasi lemak).
2 sets of toast with butter and kaya sprinkled with peanut chunk.
Curry puff2 - 2 pieces.
Chee cheong fun with minced meat topping and sauce.
White coffee with crunchy biscuit.
I like this set of antique looking cup and saucer.
My friend ordered iced lemon and I ordered ice white coffee (no photo).
Plain warm water came in this floral mug with cover.
Light lunch for 4 people - RM56.50

We chose to sit at one end of the long wooden table at the centre with high chairs where the big yam leaves are.
Water boiler for making tea and coffee.
Do come back to enjoy some outdoor photos of this place in my next post.
Kind words are like honey - enjoyable and healthful.

DeleteIt seems to make no sense to have tables for three. It would make more sense to have two or four, since most people travel in couples. The food all looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteTrue. The table for 3 are placed against the wall, so only have place for 3 people.

DeleteWhat a delightful lunch with a variety of food At Red Mountain Sun Yin Loong White Coffee. This place looks like a tourist attraction. I will make a note to visit this place when I go to Ipoh for a visit. I would like to try the roll up nasi lemak. Which food do you like the best at this place?
ReplyDeleteSo far I have tried the rolled nasi lemak, curry puffs and toast and they are all good. I love the ice white coffee.
DeleteI'm marking this down as a place to visit too! Definitely not for the food itself, though at least they still offer a decent selection.
