Stewed Pork Rib With Home Grown Daikon

Actually my home grown daikon or white radish were not due for harvest yet. Due to the rainy season with excess water, I need to harvest all of them because some had started to rot.

Big and small, all were harvest to save them from rotting. These were kept in the fridge until I have decided on what to do with them.
The day started with morning walk. I got bored with noodles so I bought a steamed bun with bbq pork filling and a big fish ball for myself. Hubby took noodle.
My neighbour bought some pork rib for me and I have decided to cook stewed pork rib with the daikon I have harvested.
Ingredients used: Pork rib, daikon, carrot, ginger, garlic, chilies, sour plum sauce, dark sauce, oyster sauce, salt and sugar to taste.
Appetizing dinner for 2 people.
Just 1 dish with steamed brown rice.
When the dish was cooked, I hand over one portion to my neighbour.
I took the above photo in Gopeng town. We have yet to visit this place named "High Street Kopitiam".
I saw the above tricycle in Ipoh old town. It is displayed in a new hotel.

O Lord our God, you brought lasting honor to your name
by removing your people from Egypt in a great display of power.
Lord, do it again!
Though we have sinned so much and are full of wickedness.

Bubur Cha Cha & Pork Rib Wan Ton Noodle

Our morning walk was cancelled because the sky was dark and looked like it was going to rain anytime.

Sunrise at 7:25am.
Dark cloud looming over us at 7:50am.
7:55am.
~~~~~
Breakfast at Restoran Memorable Good Taste.
This is where we will go whenever we want to enjoy a good wan tan noodle.
We both ordered bubur cha cha.
I really enjoyed this bowl of bubur cha cha.
It has sweet potato, yam, beans, sago, coconut milk and sugar.
These were brought to the table first: pickled green chilies, stewed sweet sour pork rib, sui kao+wan tan dumplings.
Homemade thin wan tan noodle.
On this particular morning, they use lettuce instead of choy sum.
This was our breakfast for 2 people.
Peace lilies from my garden.
An antique jukebox at a cafe.
It was lighted up so I assume that it is in good condition and can still play music.
Oh, for the years gone by when God took care of me,
when he lighted the way before me
and I walked safely through the darknes;
New Sport Equipment At the Recreational Park
We haven't been walking in the recreational park since the pandemic. We now prefer to walk around the shops. There will be less people around in the early morning as most of the shops have not opened yet. On morning, we decided to take a detour to the recreational park to check out a new sport equipment.
We were interested in this new thing above.
Looks like it is built for those interested in climbing exercises.
This is more for the older kids.
Are these for training for wall climbing?
I hope this equipment will not be under utilize and become a white elephant.
That morning, no one was using this.
A public toilet at the recreational park built in 2019 before the pandemic. It is now opened to the public after the pandemic was declared as endemic.
A dancing exercise group with music.
A dog can be seen lazing on the grass enjoying the company and music.
Another 3 dogs sleeping to the sound of music and exercise instructions.
After morning walk, we drove out to town for breakfast at Yee Fatt Dry Curry Noodle, Kampar Road, Ipoh.
Hubby's dry curry noodle with chicken curry and bbq pork.
That morning, I don't know what happened to me. Instead of ordering the usual dry curry noodle, I ordered curry noodle (wet version). You can see the layer of oil floating on top of the curry noodle. It was my own mistake and I didn't enjoy my breakfast that morning.
This is the only place that I will order the dry curry noodle.
I hope I will not repeat the same mistake again.
After sky at 2:40pm. Expecting rain any time soon.
Another lazy day for me, so didn't cook dinner.
We went to WK Claypot Chicken Rice for dinner.
This round, we ordered the ready cooked dishes with white rice.
Stewed prok rib with fermented black beans.
Fried Senangin fish or Threadfin fish.
Blanched baby choy sum.
Thanks to a friend who shared this photo of elephants when he visited the Taiping Zoo with his daughter.
Feed the flock of God; care for it willingly, not grudgingly;
not for what you will get out of it but
because you are eager to serve the Lord.
Don't be tyrants, but lead them by your good example,
and when the Head Shepherd comes,
your reward will be a never-ending share in his glory and honor.
Dinner For Six At Sun Hung Ting Restaurant, Ipoh
It was a day of meeting up with friends. First, I had lunch with 3 other ex-colleagues at Xibei Good at Jalan Bharu, Ipoh.
I ordered the above wantan noodle with minced pork, bbq pork and a bowl of prawn dumplings. The pickled green chili is a must and I took some of the chili sauce to taste.
Wall decoration of the old days.
Old fashioned advertisements on the wall.
Firecracker flowers from my garden.
~~~~~
That evening, we gathered with friends at Sun Hung Ting Restaurant for dinner.
Fried tofu with minced pork and salted radish.
3 flavoured pork rib.
Grouper slices in wine soup (drunken fish soup).
Sambal belacan kangkong (water spinach).
Dinner for 6 people.
I saw this Royal Enfield motorcycle park in front of an eatery one evening.
Excerpt from Wikipedia:
Royal Enfield is an Indian multinational motorcycle manufacturing company headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The first Royal Enfield motorcycle was built in 1901 by the Enfield Cycle Company of Redditch, Worcestershire, England, which was responsible for the design and original production of the Royal Enfield Bullet, the longest-lived motorcycle design in history.

Unless the Lord builds a house, the builders' work is useless.
Unless the Lord protects a city, sentries do no good.
It is senseless for you to work so hard from early morning
till late at night, fearing you will starve to death;
for God wants his loved ones to get their proper rest.
(Psalm 127:1-2, The Living Bible-TLB)

Dinner At Fong Seafood Restaurant, Bercham, Ipoh

It was a warm and sunny day.

Started with this morning sky at 7:20am.
Can you spot the 4 birds on the power line?
The sun shining through the tree branches - 7:30am.
~~~~~
Dinner with friends.
This is our first visit to this restaurant.
Fish head curry with assorted vegetables @ RM40 (approx. $9.25usd).
Fried pork rib with sticky sauce @ RM16 (approx. $3.70usd).
Baby French beans with garlic and preserved mustard green (char choy) @ RM16 (approx. 3.70usd). An egg was added to it. The server didn't stir the egg with the beans because we wanted to take photos.
After photo taking, we quickly mixed in the egg as the dish was still hot.
A very nice and satisfying dinner for 4 people.
Total cost of dinner = RM77.30
(incl. rice and plain water, we brought our own tea leaves).
This is the name of the restaurant.
This is the location.
A good friend shared the following photos with me.
Photos credited to Shirley T.
She saw this spider on her morning walk.
This spider looks big and dangerous to me.
Anger is cruel, and wrath is like a flood,
but jealousy is even more dangerous.
