My Own Style Pork Chop Dinner.

On a haze free day, we get to enjoy clean fresh air and clear blue sky. Sky view from from my side garden one morning.

 Quickly took out my phone camera to capture these streaks of white in the blue sky. 

 Morning sky at 8.30 am.

I had 4 russet potatoes in my fridge.

I don't know why I bought them in the first place!

Now have to think of ways to cook them.

 2 russet potatoes ended up in a pot of boiling water. I should have used 1 instead of 2 potatoes because they were really big ones. When cooked, I peeled off the skin and cut into eight pieces each. Sprinkled salt and black pepper over the potato pieces.

I fried a few pieces of pork slices which I have pre-marinated and pan fried some big onion rings, garlic and tomatoes. I didn't follow any recipe, whatever came to my mind I just follow.

Then I opened a can of Campbell's chicken soup.

 Used some of the canned chicken soup to make this sauce for the pork chop and the potatoes.

Poured some of the sauce over the potato pieces.

 Photo taken before the sauce was poured over the potato pieces and the pork chop. This was my own style of pork chop dinner. All the cooking experts will faint (pengsan!). We couldn't finish all of these. We kept the leftover for the next day's lunch.

Home Made Curry Puffs Are Great For Breakfasts And Snacks.

Curry puffs used to be one of my favourite snacks during my working days. The curry puffs could be easily found in the canteens and at the food stalls next to the office block. These are savoury snacks and best eaten while the puffs are still warm and the skin still crispy. Talking about curry puffs also reminded me of my secondary school days when we were taught to make curry puffs by my Home Science teacher.

I don't know why, out of the blue I had this craving for curry puffs. I waited for a free day to make some and had checked to make sure I had all the ingredients needed.

We started with our morning walk yesterday morning and there was no sunrise to greet us. The haze situation has improved but the sky was still gloomy.

After my morning routine of watering the plants, I took a bath and got down to prepare the dough for the curry puff. The filling consisting of minced meat, diced potatoes and onions, curry powder was prepared the night before and kept in the fridge.

 Here are some of the curry puffs ready for frying.

I forgot to take photo of the curry puff filling.

 I don't want to waste use too much oil, so it was not deep frying.

The puffs were only half submerged in oil.

 The puffs were not of even golden colour because they were not deep fried.

 The puffs were fried with medium heat.
Not pretty but good enough for own consumption.

 After all the puffs were fried, they were left to cool. Hubby and I had ate some curry puffs with coffee for a light lunch. Leaving space for dinner with friends later in the evening.

Growing Orange Firecracker Flowers In My Garden.

Today I will be sharing about the orange Firecracker Flower plant from my garden. A friend brought back this plant from oversea when she visited her son and his family.

And I was blessed with a cutting from this friend. The cutting has now turned into a healthy plant and is now blooming beautifully.

This picture was taken when it started to flower.

The colour is so pretty and attractive.

Sometimes, it looked more pinkish and sometimes, it looked more of orange colour.

Once it started to flower, it seems to flower non stop.

In turn, I have blessed my sister with some cuttings.

Even after the cuttings didn't stop it from flowering.

It is indeed to joy to be able to enjoy these beautiful blooms.

I am thankful for eyes that can see the beautiful creation of our Creator God!

I am also thankful for those who have generously contributed to my garden with seeds and cuttings. I was also blessed with cuttings of the yellow and pink Firecracker flower plants from my sister's garden.

These yellow Firecracker flowers are similar to the above orange Firecracker flowers.

This pink Firecracker flowering plant belongs to the same family as the yellow and orange plant.
