Since we were in Damai Laut, we were looking forward to a local seafood dinner in Pantai Remis. We had no special place to go to, so we google searched and found a few seafood restaurants listed. Pantai Remis is about 25 km from the Swiss Garden Beach Resort and it will take approximately 30 minutes to reach there. We targeted the 1st restaurant listed and we were on our way!
I missed these view on the way in but not this time.
A short distance from the resort, I requested hubby to stop at the side to allow me to snap some photos.
Oh, that you had listened to my laws!

The GPS brought us right to the front of the restaurant. The tables in the air con room were all booked but we were quite happy where we were seated under the fan.
Half a chicken - poached. Didn't know it was so good, should have ordered 1 whole chicken. The meat was tender, smooth and moist. MYR 30.00 (approx. 7.30 USD).
Sweet Sour Mud Crabs. MYR 88.00 (approx. 21.41 USD).
Our Butter Prawns was not what we expected but fortunately the prawns were very fresh. MYR 36.00 (approx. 8.76 USD).
Catfish or Tong Sat or Ikan Keli in claypot. MYR 35.00 (approx. 8.52 USD).
Stir fried Romaine Lettuce with garlic, etc. MYR 20.00 (approx. 4.87 USD).
We concluded our dinner with this sweet and yummy snack. Deep fried bread rolls with sweet yam paste filling. MYR 12.00 (approx. 2.92 USD).

MYR 250.80 (approx. 61.38 USD)

DeleteVery rare (in Peninsular Malaysia anyway) river view showing intact mangrove and some dryland forest. The river also not flooded with rubbish. Yet saddening to see so much development going on in the near distance. Condos and more condos. So, not much hope those natural forests will remain intact in the foreseeable future. The very reason they built the condos there will be gone - soon.
ReplyDeleteHi, thank you for your visit and comments. Yes, it is sad and I agree with you about the development and condos. We don't know how long we get to enjoy the natural forests and beautiful river view before they disappear from our sight.
