Checking into Swiss Garden Beach Resort took quite a while because there were others before us. We were taking this as an opportunity to visit and get to know some of the places in our own state i.e Perak.
A great place for a getaway from the busyness of the towns and cities and a paradise for golfers.
Reception.
After we have rested, it was time for us to explore the place.
These are some of the rooms.
Playground for the young.
Surrounded by greens.
Tall pine trees before reaching the beach.
Time was about 5.15 pm - waiting for the setting sun.
Will be sharing more of the setting sun photos in another post.
As you can see from the photos, it was a hazy day.
From the beach to the swimming pool.
Families and children prefer the swimming pool.
No swimming for us except for our young lady.
None of us brought our swimming wear.
While my friends sat on the deck chairs and chat, I went about exploring.
This dried palm leaves reminded me of the ones we used for the roof of houses in the old times. Then it was upgraded to zinc roof and now we have the tiles or concrete roofs.
I like this - great way to grow orchids and plants.
I like the sound of water.
Quiet water.
Trees with yellow flowers.
Pretty yellow flowers. From afar, I thought the trees were full of yellow rambutan or hairy fruits.
Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and
understand what he is saying to the churches.
To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit
from the tree of life in the paradise of God.

DeleteNice place ....beautiful beach :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elin. It is a beautiful place.
DeleteWhat a coincidence! I just read a post on another blog about this resort. The surroundings and grounds are so scenic and lovely but it seems that there is a fly issue as the other blogger says she encountered just too many flies in this resort during meal times in the restaurants and also in her room. Did you face this fly issue as well?
ReplyDeleteWe saw a few flies in our room. Haven't been to the hotel's restaurant. For me, I think the fly is not a big issue.
DeleteNot if you ate at the hotel's restaurant and the flies kept going at your food. Luckily you did not eat at the hotel's restaurant so the flies were not an issue for you.
DeleteI sympathize with your blogger friend over the flies issue. Yes, I can understand the feeling because I have an earlier experienced where the flies were all over our food.
DeleteThat is an amazing place - a paradise! Great photos, I enjoyed very much Nancy.

Thank you, dear. Have a nice week too!
DeleteI stayed here for a couple of nights once long ago - beautiful place, Nancy and still looks as good. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon, during your time there, the place would have been newer and more beautiful. But the place here is a very nice place but more need to be done to improve....this place has great potential but needs more effort.
DeleteOh dear ...I sure hope they do so, Nancy. It would be a waste not to maintain such a nice hotel x
DeleteI also hope they will do something to improve this place.
Deletewhat a lovely hotel . I love the view. J would love the pool
ReplyDeleteYou would definitely love the pool with the water running down the rocks.
DeleteEh, another blogger also wrote about this hotel. She mentioned there were many flies. I wonder if you encountered the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI do encountered some flies in my room. We didn't eat in the hotel's restaurant, so I won't be able to comment. I think the flies issue has improved from the early days.
DeleteBut that blogger was there recently, from 28 - 30 May 2016.
DeleteI think there were 4 or 5 flies in my room. I used a sticker the resort provided and the flies got stuck to the sticker. That solved the problem for me. So far no complains from my friends. Could it be the timing of our visit? I am glad we didn't have flies swarming over us.
DeleteGreat looking place. And I, too, thought that was fruit on the trees, until I saw the close up shot.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anne. I too thought so until I went to have a closer look.
DeleteI loved the bird cage
