Pay Traffic Summon Followed By Lunch At Restoran Fu Lim.

Last week we came to know that we can pay outstanding traffic summons at a 50% discount from 29th to 31st January. I didn't think much about it because I thought I didn't have any summon that I haven't paid. I usually pay up whatever summons as soon as I received it through the registered mail.

A few days later, my friend and I were at the UTC to pay our bills. My friend wanted to check if she has any outstanding summon at the PDRM (police) stall. Since we were there, I too submit our cars' registration numbers to be checked. To our disappointment, we both have outstanding summons to pay. How come we didn't receive these summons through the registered mail? My friend and I decided to pay on the first day i.e. 29th January (Tuesday).
Waiting for my friend to pick me up at 8.30 am.
We were given numbers 143 & 144. Seats, air coolers and free mineral water were provided for customers to sit comfortable under tents. While waiting for our numbers to be called, we made new friends with those sitting next to us.
Everything was going smoothly until the server system crashed at the headquarter level.
We didn't know how long we have to wait. For those who have questions, they can approached the officers concerning issues with summons or any police issues. It was the police meeting with their clients special day.
We were encouraged to check out the various stalls e.g. items on display, get some free medication and eyes checkups, etc.
Instead of just sitting and waiting, we decided to take a walk to check out the stalls.
I got interested in these. A giant bike and a dwarf bike.
I have to wait for other interested onlookers to disperse before I could take these snapshots.
After waiting for about an hour, the server system was finally working again. Good thing we waited and didn't go home or else we will have to return the next day. In no time, our summons were discounted and paid up.

We were looking forward to lunch because we didn't have any breakfast.
My friend's hubby joined us for lunch and he suggested Restoran Fu Lim.
Flavourful soy sauce thinly sliced pork belly with garlic.
Sweet potato leaves with sambal belacan (spicy prawn paste).
Tilapia fish cooked in clay pot.
A delicious meal for 3 people.

  3. Wow, the discount is good so too many people go pay up until the server cannot stand the huge amount of load until it crashed. Luckily they got it up again and you can pay up so your effort of waiting is not wasted. All 3 dishes are so flavourful!

  6. Why does it not surprise me that the system went down when there were so many people, sometimes i think even computers can get overwhelmed, or at least overheated.

Those are nice bikes and very pretty gates.

  8. That’s good to hear discounts for traffic summons! It seems discounts are there throughout the year these days for whatever we purchase. Glad the server works soon for you to not come back again. Govt. servers always crack here.

    Beautiful fence and gate!

  11. I am intrigued as to what these summons were for. Perhaps parking violations?
We call them traffic tickets here in Texas. The last one I had was over 10 years ago. They are pricy....I think the average is over $100 and my last one was $300! I was speeding in a work zone. Maybe that's the reason I don't get many tickets. They cost too much!

  12. It seems more like a party than paying summons! Now you know I must ask what your summons was for...speeding maybe...

  15. Interesting way to get people to pay their fines! But really they needed to be considerate since obviously they made an error in not sending out notices.

  18. Good thing you managed to pay the summons and get it over with, not a pleasant thing to have to do. Having the system down is such an annoyance and it happens ALL the time.
