This was on a Monday, the same week as the Lunar New Year. We didn't go walking on this particular morning, so we didn't pass by our friend's stall. When she didn't see us, she called to ask hubby to collect our breakfast from her. She bought steamed buns and she also bought our share for us.
2 steamed buns (hubby has eaten one earlier) and left one for me. Our friend also gave us a packet of crispy crabstick snack that she fried.
My breakfast: 1 steamed bun with pork filling and hot Nescafe.

Simple lunch
This pack of biscuits (tau sar pheah) was on my table. I was curious to taste the biscuits.
There were 5 pieces, I ate 2 pieces for my lunch.
Hubby had been in the hot sun trimming the plants in front of our house. He requested for herbal tea, so I placed a herbal teabag to steep in hot water for him.
That evening I harvested the first green eggplant from the garden. This eggplant turned out twisted, hopefully the rest will turned out straight. This one and only plant was given to me by a friend.

One dish dinner.
I bought this curry fish paste to try. Instead of using fish, I used prawns.
This curry consists of prawns, cabbage, home grown long beans and 1 green brinjal.
Our one dish dinner: prawn and vegetables curry with steamed rice.
I saw this motorcycle displayed in a Malacca hotel where we stopped to have lunch.
Pink and white hibiscus by the roadside. This snapshot was taken on one of our morning walk.
Show me the path where I should go, O Lord;
point out the right road for me to walk.
Lead me; teach me;
for you are the God who gives me salvation.
I have no hope except in you.
(Psalm 25:4-5, The Living Bible-TLB)
I want to try some biscuits too. What kind of bean filling? I love both green and red. The prawn curry looks so tasty.
ReplyDeleteI think the biscuits have mung bean filling.
DeleteSuper love your prawn vegetables curry dish. So delicious! Are the green brinjals ripe already n can be eaten in their green state?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mun. This brinjal is green, different from the purple ones.
DeleteI love to eat the tau sar pheah. So far I have not encountered any tau sar pheah that I don't like to eat. Do u like to eat those small tambun tau sar pheah from penang like Ghee Hiang or him hiang brand? How does this Ipoh tau sar pheah compare to those from penang?
ReplyDeleteAt one time I was crazy over Penang's tau sar pheah. Now I only eat once in a while. Personally, I think they are all very tasty. I like those with a slight salty taste in it.
DeleteHave a lovely week :)

DeleteHow's this brand compared with Action 1? I see it in local supermarts.
ReplyDeleteHeh was the eggplant trying to do the twist or what.
I can't remembering trying Action 1 brand. Maybe I will look out for it. Yes, the eggplant was probably doing a twist. Lol!
DeleteThank you, Francisco.
ReplyDeleteThank you, RR.
ReplyDeleteAs long as the eggplants taste right, i am not sure the curl causes much trouble, at least i hope not.
ReplyDeleteThe eggplant tasted nice.
DeleteThe pink and white hibiscus is so gorgeous. My uncle also use curry fish paste to cook curry chicken, the taste turns out to be alright.
