This was a Sunday morning, 3rd day of MCO 2.0. The first voice message that came through my hand phone that early morning was from our friend. It was to inform that our breakfast was waiting for us to collect from her.
Roti canai - breakfast treat from our friend. At that time, I was waiting for the water to boil to make coffee for me and milo for hubby.
After breakfast, I went outside to sweep the porch area, water the plants and feed the guppies. Came back into the house to get ready for online church
Lunch.
After online church, I cooked sweet drink or tong sui with sweet potatoes, smashed old ginger, sugar and water.
That afternoon, the same friend called up again to inform that she had something for us and hubby went out the collect from her.
Chicken and potato curry from our friend.
Since we had curry, I blanched the above broccoli and drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
While steaming the rice, I also cooked the last home made salted duck egg. I have another batch of salted egg that will be ready in a few days' time.

Antique copperware and silverware at the Flea Market, Ipoh.
When you remove dross from silver,
you have sterling ready for the silversmith.
When you remove corrupt men from the king's court,
his reign will be just and fair.
(Proverbs 25:4-5, The Living Bible-TLB)
Flowers look lovely, good colours and the broccoli looks delicious.

ReplyDeleteI think visitation to the flea market will no longer be the same as before when we used to weave in and out, squeezing our way through the crowd. From now on, social distancing will be the way to do it.
