2nd Chemo Was Postponed 5 Days

2 weeks after my 1st chemo, I was admitted to the hospital on the 3rd May for the 2nd chemo. Unfortunately, my blood result was not good and the doctor suspected that there might be a blockage in my liver. I was asked to fast and an ultrasound was done on my liver at about 2:40pm that day. A blood test was done again and the result turned out better than the previous one. After the ultrasound, it was too late to start the chemo drip and the next day was a public holiday and followed by the weekend. My chemo date was then postponed and rescheduled for the 8th May (Monday). I was then discharged and came home to rest.

I was re-admitted to the hospital on the 8th May (Monday) for the 2nd chemo treatment. The 2 bedded rooms were fully occupied and I was given a 4 bedded room. When at the hospital, I usually don't sleep well and will wake up at regular intervals to go to the washroom or to make myself a cup of hot drink.

This was the sunrise I witnessed from my hospital bed on the 9th May morning. My bed happened to be next to the window.
I am glad that I have something to look out to whenever I am not resting on bed or playing games on my phone.
This was 4:40am in the morning on the 10th May. I couldn't sleep, so I got up to look out the window and look some snapshots.
I was supposed to be discharged on 10th May night but due to delayed start of chemo drip, I was only discharged from hospital on the 11th May (the 4th day). I spent an extra night in hospital. When I got home, I managed to catch up on my sleep the next few days and nights. My next or 3rd chemo treatment is scheduled for 22nd May, 2023.

Your words are what sustain me; they are food to my hungry soul.
They bring joy to my sorrowing heart and delight me.
How proud I am to bear your name, O Lord.

  19. I'm glad your blood test showed up good instead of being worse. Nice photos from the window in hospital. Murals you shared look nice. My husband didn't sleep the best last month when we were in a hotel on night on the coast. Heater/cooler settings don't always go how we want it to work. Continuing to pray for your health and your family. ๐Ÿ’ ❤️ ๐Ÿ™

  20. Despite your illness, it's nice that you remember about us and post such an entry. I wish you a lot of perseverance and strength in these difficult days of struggling with the disease. Photos are always a record of time and it is worth taking them, even when they are taken in a hospital during our more difficult days.
Regards and I wish you health.
