Fish & Chicken Nasi Briyani At Vighna Bamboo Briyani

One day around lunch time, I received a call from a friend. She invited hubby and I to join her and a friend for lunch at Vighna Bamboo Briyani. Since we just had our lunch, we declined and thanked her for her invitation. I told her that since she enjoyed the food so much, we will go the next day. True to our words, we were there for lunch the next day with 2 other friends.

I happened to be seated opposite this "Love" sign hanging on the wall.
The ladies ordered mango lassi while the men had plain water.
We ordered 2 types of Bamboo briyani for us to share.
This was how it was served.
Out came the nasi briyani wrapped with banana leaf.
Chicken briyani.
Fish briyani
Cucumber raita (cucumber with yogurt).
4 pieces of fried chicken.
Total bill for the above items came to RM63.00 for 4 people.

We were early and ahead of the lunch crowd.

The following photos were taken at a fried noodle shop where we had dinner one evening.
Flower horn fish.
We were seated near to this fish tank.
Flower horn fish is believed to bring good luck to its owner. This fish has a lifespan of 10 to 12 years. Flower horn fish is aggressive and if released to the wild, they become invasive pests.

And even we Christians, although
we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory,
also groan to be released from pain and suffering.
We, too, wait anxiously for that day when God will give us
our full rights as his children, including the new bodies he has
promised us - bodies that will never be sick again and will never die.

Nasi Briyani From Balans Corner Restaurant

The rainy season is here and right now, it is raining outside as I sit here putting up my post.

Dawn at 6:55am
No morning walk on this particular morning because there was a slight drizzle and dark sky over us.
Sunlight shining through the dark clouds - 7:45am
~~~~~
We were informed by our friend that we needn't have to worry about getting lunch. Food will be delivered to our house come lunch time.
Special Nasi Briyani for lunch!
There are pieces of chicken, 1 hard boiled egg and sambal wrapped together with the flavoured rice.
Papadam crackers in a plastic bag.
Fried bitter gourd and eggplant.
Gourd sambal.
We also received "mango lassi" (creamy fresh mango with tangy yogurt) in the above plastic cups.
We have been wanting to dine-in at Balans Corner to enjoy this special nasi briyani. Instead, someone is so thoughtful and kind to deliver the nasi briyani direct to our house. Hubby and I shared a packet of nasi briyani for lunch and kept the other packet for dinner. Thanks to our friends, we get to enjoy the promotional nasi briyani for lunch and dinner.
My garden had a pretty visitor.
After a long spell, this pretty dragonfly decided to pay us a visit.
Dear brothers, you are only visitors here.
Since your real home is in heaven, I beg you to keep away
from the evil pleasures of this world;
they are not for you, for they fight against your very souls.
Sunday Fellowship Lunch At Tandoori Grill, Ipoh.
Just after last Sunday's celebration ended, a church friend approached us to invite us out for lunch. It is not always possible for us to have lunch together because some have to provide transport for those without transport. And for last Sunday, my church friends were available and it was a wonderful chance to gather for lunch and fellowship.
The one who invited us for lunch is the youngest of the four of us. She wanted to give us a treat at Restoran Tandoori Grill as none of us has been there before.
The outside looks neat and clean. No problem with parking as we were the 1st customers for lunch.
I am always the one who is taking my own sweet time with my camera.
Some useful information, if you are interested.
More information to take note.
Address: 9, Jalan Chin Choon San, Greentown,
30450 Ipoh. Tel: 05-2535995
As we passed through the main doorway, we were greeted by this art piece.
We had the whole place to ourselves. Choosing a comfy table for 4 people.
Since we were the only customers, I took a few snapshots before the other customers came in.
Floral arrangement.
Framed art piece on the wall.
Another framed art piece.
A corner of the restaurant.
We had plenty of time to go through the menu.
Crispy thin Papadum served with mint sauce.
Hmmm....these are great for snacks!
My favourite - Garlic Naan. Same price as Butter Naan.
Bread served in perforated metal dishes.
Palak Paneer - Spinach curry with Indian cheese.
For a start, a bit of everything!
Food came in metal bowls with metal spoons.
And after our meal, we helped ourselves to some "mouth freshener" (slightly sweetened spices) as we made our way out.
but fools detest turning from evil.
