Steamed Fish Thai Style & Steamed Long Beans With Sambal Dried Shrimp

We started out on our morning walk when the sky is usually dark. As we walk, the sky starts to light up as the sun rises. On this particular morning, I get to snap the following photos of the sunrise on our walk home.

Sunrise at 7:36am

For this particular evening, I took out the fish (tail portion) to thaw. I have managed to clear most of the frozen items from the freezer.
Steamed fish (tail portion) Thai style - appetizing recipe.
I used whatever ingredients I can find in my fridge, all except the cilantro and celery because hubby doesn't like the smell of these herbs. So I ended up using spring onions. Both of us managed to finish the whole dish.
Steamed homegrown long beans and okra topped with sambal dried shrimp.
Delicious home cooked dinner for 2 people.
We passed by this corner house and I noticed this purple flowers on the side fence. I stopped to take a few snapshots.

HAVE A BLESSED GOOD FRIDAY!

And we know that Christ, God's Son,
has come to help us understand and find the true God.
And now we are in God because we are in Jesus Christ his Son,
who is the only true God; and he is eternal Life.

Prawn Omelette & Long Bean Sambal On A Rainy Evening.

 It was a Saturday and the day started with a lovely morning and a golden sunrise.

Sunrise at 7:36am
~~~~~
An early dinner.
I had nothing much to do, so I decided to cook dinner earlier than usual.
The tub of prawns was thawed. Hubby requested for prawn omelette. Its been a long time since I cooked prawn omelette. I diced the prawns and chopped the spring onions and chilies.
I harvested some long beans, enough for dinner. Steamed long beans and topped with sambal dried prawns. By the time I finished washing up after dinner, it was about 5:35pm. Around that time, it started to rain and it turned into a heavy downpour.
Heavy downpour at 5:43pm.
These snapshots were taken from under my porch area.
My little garden was flooded.
The large amount of rain water couldn't flow fast enough and the drain was filled to the brim.
I messaged my neighbour who was still at work and she was worried that the water would flow into her porch area. We were glad it didn't and after a while, the rain slowed down.
When the rain slowed down, the water in the drain was able to flow without overflowing the drain.
For if you give, you will get!
Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure,
pressed down, shaken together to make room for more,
and running over.
Whatever measure you use to give - large or small -
will be used to measure what is given back to you.
Meatballs Vegetable Soup, Sambal Long Beans & Stewed Chicken Feet
From the previous day's dinner, there was leftover of roast chicken breast and a chicken leg. I had green vegetable in the fridge, so I decided to boil a simple soup with some minced meat balls and add in the green vegetable.
I also added in a chicken egg and a century egg to the soup.
I warmed up the roast chicken breast and chicken leg. With the chicken breast meat, I shredded it and make salad with my home grown cucumber. This was our no rice, no noodle dinner on a Sunday evening.
This and the following 2 photos were taken before Lunar New Year when we went to collect the pomelos that hubby booked for his sister.
Took a snapshot of the wall mural while waiting at the traffic light junction.
We used to drive to Tambun for fresh pomelo fruits.
For the next day (Monday), I cooked 2 dishes and steamed rice for dinner.
Stewed chicken feet with Shiitake mushrooms and napa cabbage.
Home grown long beans cooked with spicy sambal dried prawn.
