Drying My Laundry In My Side Garden.

The Japanese roses in the hanging pots are growing well in my garden. Those plants that I have pruned are now growing new shoots. Some seedlings are growing well but some are not due to the very hot sun and the heavy downpour that causes excessive watering. 

 For the past weeks, we had very hot sun for the first half of the day and followed by heavy downpour. In the morning, I rushed to water my plants to avoid the scorching hot sun.

My side garden gets a few hours of sun in the morning.

Now with the new fence, I can dry my laundry especially my quilt blankets here.

I machine sewed this quilt blanket.

I hand sewed this piece of quilt blanket.

It is also a great place to sun my pillows and booster.

With just a few hours of hot sun, it is enough to dry all my laundry.

With all the laundry hanging out in the garden to dry, I have to watch the sky.

The cloud can very quickly turned to dark cloud.

It's time to take in my laundry when I see dark cloud looming over us.

This is the front part of my side garden.

I had this bougainvillea plant growing over the intermediate wall.

When in full bloom, the flowers are very pretty. But when the flowers are spent, they drop all over the place. I cut if off to avoid them dropping into my neighbour's compound.

For you have been called to live in freedom,
my brothers and sisters,

Enjoying Chef Yang Noodles For Breakfast.

Once again its the time of the month. Last week my friend and I went to town to run our errands. Sometimes she drives her car and sometimes I drive my car. We make it a point to keep this once a month appointment to meet up, enjoy breakfast together and at the same time to pay our bills at the UTC - Urban Transformation Centre.

Most of the times we usually take about 4 hours of time together. In a way I think it helps to keep our friendship bond strong. Sometimes we will do some shopping together too.

Last week we came back to Restoran Char Yuen for breakfast. It is located at Jalan Centrepoint 1, Pasir Pinji, Ipoh. It is a corner shop, behind the EE Chan Convenience Store and also behind Restoran Tuck Kee, Pasir Pinji, Ipoh.

I ordered this special homemade yellow noodle topped with minced meat & cucumber strips.

The noodle is best eaten with the spicy sambal belacan.

 My friend ordered this soup based seaweed noodle. It is green spinach noodle (noodle hidden), with meat slices, green veggie, seaweed, etc.

Going through my food folder, I came across these food photos taken at the same eatery. It was few months ago when our golden girls came for our breakfast meeting.

Below were our breakfast orders by 4 golden girls.

Curry noodles with BBQ & Roasted pork.

Prepacked Kerabu Beehoon (rice vermicilli). It is very tasty and appetizing.

Looks like the minced meat serving were more few months ago compared to what we had last week.

Again, I noticed that this had more ingredients than the one we had recently.

Because of the increasing prices and GST, the prices of foodstuff has increased tremendously.

I have been quite busy for the past few days. I have been trying to do some serious spring cleaning and am going about it quite slowly. Gone were the days when I can clean the whole house in one day all by myself, starting from early morning to past midnight. Now I am going about it in a much slower pace to avoid getting body aches. The aches is a reminder that I am no longer young as before.

Today I am sharing some photos of flowers from my own garden. Some are doing very well in spite of the very hot weather or very heavy downpour.

This is Fido, my hair dresser's dog.

Yesterday I was there for a hair cut.

Sometimes she barks at me, sometimes she doesn't.

Yesterday she didn't bark at me. Then when I sat down, she started to bark.

After a while, she jumped onto the settee

After a while, it went to sleep. I too felt like sleeping in the air-con room in a hot afternoon.

Spotted this dog doing his "small" business.

After he is done, he turned around and used his hind legs to kick dust/dirt at the tree.
