Blooming Flowers & Doggies.

Happy Saturday!

I have been quite busy for the past few days. I have been trying to do some serious spring cleaning and am going about it quite slowly. Gone were the days when I can clean the whole house in one day all by myself, starting from early morning to past midnight. Now I am going about it in a much slower pace to avoid getting body aches. The aches is a reminder that I am no longer young as before.

Today I am sharing some photos of flowers from my own garden. Some are doing very well in spite of the very hot weather or very heavy downpour.
Red Periwinkle.
White Dwarf Mexican Petuania - grown from self-seeding.
Red Bauhinia at front fencing.
Pink Dwarf Mexican Petunia - in a large fountain bowl.
Sand Ginger or Cekur - white flower.
Japanese Roses - Orange and Deep Pink, single layered petal.
This is Fido, my hair dresser's dog.
Yesterday I was there for a hair cut.
Sometimes she barks at me, sometimes she doesn't.
Yesterday she didn't bark at me. Then when I sat down, she started to bark.
After a while, she jumped onto the settee
After a while, it went to sleep. I too felt like sleeping in the air-con room in a hot afternoon.
Spotted this dog doing his "small" business.
After he is done, he turned around and used his hind legs to kick dust/dirt at the tree.

Whenever you enter a city or village, search for a godly man
and stay in his home until you leave for the next town.
When you ask permission to stay, be friendly,
and if it turns out to be a godly home, give it your blessings;
if not, keep the blessing.
Any city or home that doesn't welcome you -
shake off the dust of that place from your feet as you leave.

    3. Oh yes, I know what you mean. No matter how much time we spend in the garden, it is never enough. The heavy downpour is destroying my chili seedlings. I am forcing myself to clean house a little at a time, now almost down except the kitchen.

  5. I really like the Mexican Petunias Nancy & the dark leaves makes the flowers stand out more. Also the Japanese Roses are beautiful too. Fido is cute, she looks like a Poodle, we have a black Toy Poodle, she's our 4th Poodle we've had now & they are just the sweetest little dogs. I wouldn't have any other breed for an inside dog. Plus no shedding is a big bonus for an inside pet.

    1. Thank you, Tony. If I do want to keep a pet dog in future, I will consider keeping a Poodle. I like the no shedding part, that will be a plus point.

  22. I went to a hair salon once where little doggies roamed around. I felt it really added something to the experience. I guess some people could be offended or allergic or whatever, but they were little dogs like that one, so it wasn't like they were scary or anything!

    1. Hi Stephanie, I understand for those who doesn't like animals or those who are allergic to the furs, it wouldn't be a pleasant experience to them. I think it is usually the little dogs that are kept in the house. I too wouldn't dare go near the big dogs.

  23. I love your garden Nancy. The little dog Fido is cute and the other dog is very nice too. I'm impressed that you are doing so much cleaning. I find it difficult to do big cleaning jobs these days because just doing the daily work keeps me busy so many hours of the day! Have a wonderful and blessed Sunday ♥ and a good week ahead.
