One evening I came home late from my visitation outing and as usual I was enthralled by the beautiful sunset.
I love watching sunrises and sunsets.
They are never boring.
They are never the same.
They are breathtaking with their display of colours.
There was no home cooking that evening and we went to our usual stall at the hawker centre for our dinner.
The boss recommended the day's special. This is stewed pork rib with arrowheads (nga koo) and wood fungus. Very tasty.
And blanched green veggie, sometimes known as Chinese Flowering Cabbage (choy fah in Cantonese). Served with oyster sauce and onion/garlic oil.
And hubby bought curry mutton MYR6.00 from an Indian stall. Previously it was MYR5.00.
We love this mutton curry which is very delicious.
I took this shot from the petrol station opposite the Ipoh YMCA building.
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world....
(Psalms 19:1-4, NIV)
Wow, getting pro in taking shots. Very beautiful sunset. RM6 for mutton curry, big portion & so cheap. Nice dinner indeed.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Irene. I am putting my android phone camera to good use and I am enjoying myself shooting away at the beautiful scenes around me. Sometimes the photos turned up good but there are times I get blur pics too.

DeleteNancy, the food looks delicious. I have not had nga koo in dishes, only the deep fired chips. I am seeing lots of nga koo at the supermarket now!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Phong Hong. I too have seen lots of nga koo in the supermart but the prices are higher than last year's, and that's without adding the GST!

ReplyDeleteI prefer to go to hawker stall for food than restaurant. Cheaper and sometimes taste better and cleaner.
Thank you, Rose. Nowadays with the increasing of prices of everything We cannot afford to eat in restaurants so often. So it is back to hawker food. Definitely cheaper and most times tastier too.

We had lunch at a bustling Thai restaurant with good food (no wonder so many people, right?) Tom ordered combination rice and I had Beef Pad See EW. WE shared, were stuffed and took home some! Awesome luncheon date. Have a wonderful weekend, Nancy.
