Beautiful Sunrise & Tasty Steamed Buns for Breakfast.

This morning as usual we woke up at 5.45 am and by 6.15 am we were at the recreation park having our walking exercise around the lake. Most of the days we will walk 4 rounds and then we will drive off for our breakfast. This morning we went to Canning Garden because we have 2 errands to run.
We witnessed this beautiful sunrise at about 7.20 am on our way to Canning Garden.
The view changes as we drove along...

Isn't it amazing to get these different sunrise shots within a few minutes?
We both shared a bowl of healthy curry noodles (without coconut milk or santan).
And we each took a steamed coconut bun. A non-sweetened coffee for me.
This is our favourite steamed coconut bun - home made bun.
The coconut filling is moist and we love the texture of the bun.
At one time, my hubby wanted to plant this bamboo tree in front of our house.
Good thing he didn't because it can easily get out of control.
On our way home after breakfast.
Looking forward to tend to my garden and water my plants.

Linking to Skywatch Friday.

"In that day, sing about the fruitful vineyard.
I, the LORD, will watch over it, watering it carefully.
Day and night I will watch so no one can harm it.
(Isaiah 27:2-3, NLT)

  5. Lovely morning shots, Nancy. Love them.

I would wish to go for a morning walk but I guess that would only achieve when all kids are growing bigger. The youngest one tends to tired out and want me to carry him. I would break my back if carrying him for too long. Lol.

Have a great weekend my dear.

    1. Thank you, Rose. Be patient, dear. We only started our morning walk after I retired from my work. When my kids were younger, we did go for morning walk once a week, i.e. on Saturday morning or evening. Have a great weekend too!

  12. Wow, you and your husband are so diligent to wake up so early to exercise. Since the sun is not up yet, does the recreation park has enough lamps to brighten the park up?

    1. Hi Mun, there are people as early as 5.30 am but we prefer to go around 6.15 to 6.30 am where there will be more people walking and some roadside stall doing business there. Most parts of the park are lighted up.

    1. Wow! Irene, 5 am is too early for us here. We tried walking 5.30 am but the park was too dark and quiet and we didn't feel safe. Over here 6 am is just nice with more people around.

  15. I love coconut but I don't think it's part of very many morning meals here. I'm not sure why--it's sweet and perfect for breakfast, now that I think about it!

    1. Hi Julia, actually I am quite lazy to get up early but I have to discipline myself for my exercise. In the morning it is cool, if we walk in the evening, it is very humid and hot.
