Dinner At Pusat Makanan Sun Place, Menglembu

Hubby and I went to visit our friends at their factory and invited them out for lunch. Our friends recommended curry noodles from one of the stalls at the Sun Place. This was about a month ago.
This bowl of curry noodles was really good. Since tasting this curry noodle, I have been thinking of going back for more. Looking at this makes me crave for it!
Pusat Makanan Sun Place or Sun Place Food Court was formerly named The Big Fan and the locals still refer to it as Big Fan. There are only 2 giant ceiling fans for the whole food court. I did an earlier post on this place mentioning about the big fan here but didn't post up any photo of it.
Two weeks later we were invited for dinner by the same friends to the same place.
It was about 7 pm when I took this picture of the evening sky and the leafless tree.
It was still bright enough to play football in the field.

The flats are across the road.
This is the best capture of the big fan with my mobile phone camera.
This is the first time I tried a video.
I hope you will be able to see the big fan clearly.
Shown below were the dishes we had for dinner.
My friend ordered Deep Fried Tilapia Fish Thai style (with Thai chili sauce).
Sweet Sour Pork (ku lo yuk)
Stir Fried Sweet Potato Leaves.
Black Vinegar Pig Trotter - their signature dish.

Linking to Skywatch Friday.

because her time has come;
but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish
because of her joy that a child is born into the world.

  10. I am HUNGRY! But love seeing you have trees that lose their leaves too. I am assuming at least that is what happened. I hope it isn't dead. Either way, it is a cool tree with all those branches! Have a wonderful weekend Nancy.

  11. We have a local restaurant here that has a ceiling fan that is as big as the room. Everyone stares at the ceiling when they walk in. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen!

  14. Hi Nancy. I got your comment. Unfortunately I messed up the Link when I did it. Decided not to use that blog that I tried to link to but am going to go back to the one I have my cartoons on & combine my photography posts there too. Thanks for letting me know the link wasn't working.
    Kind regards, Tony

    2. Hi again Nancy, I changed my mind & decided to stick to the initial blog that I'm going to use for my photography. I've lost interest in cartooning & want to focus on getting better at photography instead. I have put the correct link in my Blogger profile & on the last post of my Blogger blog. I noticed you've already been there & commented but I thought I'd explain to clear up any confusion.

  23. Stir fried sweet potato leaves sounds heavenly to me. wonder where I would go to find them. All we have are the sweet potatoes in the stores. My favorite all of your pictures was the one of the lone tree. I have a favorite tree I photograph all the time at different times of the day and in different seasons.

  24. I should eat more Asian type of foods; I always feel better when I do and I love vegetables and Tofu. It gets a bad rap when I mention it sometimes like soy isn't good for you, but I like it. I think it's a great source of protein.

    1. Hello Mary, I am glad to hear that you like Asian type of food. Just like me, once in a while I feel like having Western food, even though it can be pricey over here. I have also heard that too much of soya milk is not good for health. I think it shouldn't be a problem as long as we don't consume it daily or too often. Have a great weekend!
