Woke Up To A Fresh And Busy Morning.

Nowadays, the weather is so hot that we have to sleep with the air-con on for most of the nights. Last Monday morning we could feel the cool breeze when we went for our early morning walk in the park.
We reached the park at about 6.50 am.
The sky was much clearer....
When we saw the puddles of water, only then we realized that it rained the previous night. We heard that it was a heavy downpour. No wonder the air was cool and fresh that morning.
The burnt tree trunk looked like a critter from afar. Even the water level of the pond was much higher after the rain.
While walking to our car after our breakfast, this nice hotel caught my attention.
And also this parasite plant found growing from a hole in the tiled wall.
I bought this yummy deep fried glutinous rice balls for my snack.
When I bought them, they were still warm. They have red bean paste as filling.
When we reached home, I found my Yellow Buttercup plant tilted to one side. It must have been due to the heavy downpour the previous night.
I put my plant upright again and since the morning was a bit cool, I did some gardening.
I propagated some Yellow Firecracker plant for a friend.
My BG friend gave me some orchid plants. I really do not know what to do with them. I searched and found some left over pieces of wood. Tied them together and then tied the orchids to the wood. This is the best I could think of. I hope the orchid will grow onto the wood.
This will have to do for the time being.
My friend also blessed me with this pot of orchids.
Will be sharing the orchid plants with another friend. Hope all will grow well.

Surely he says this for us, doesn't he?
Yes, this was written for us, because whoever plows and threshes
should be able to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest.

  2. Nothing like a fresh new rain to give some relief from hot muggy weather. It makes everyone happy to breath easier. I like it when mother nature waters the garden and potted plants in the summer.

You soon will have to have more plant hangers to have a place for all your plants. lol.
    I love the yellow flowers.

    Have a joyful day.
    Hugs,

  17. I love a walk in the park after a rain the night before. Cooling and refreshing.

Oooh. Green eagle's egg. I think the glutinuous rice ball is called eagle's egg. They add pandan to it so it is green??

    1. Thank you, Rose. The green colouring is from the pandan leaves. Green eagle's egg? Nice name for the snack!

  19. When it was hazy, I was wishing for clear skies. Now that it's so hot, I'm happy when it's dark-ish! Hoping for rain.

Looks like you did a good job with that orchid... so neatly tied onto that wood.

  20. I'm guessing the glutinous rice balls are pandan flavor? My late grandma used to plant many varieties of orchids. But I did not inherit her love for orchids.

  24. Oh days are much cooler but I am still wearing shorts and had to have the air con on last night when I went to bed as it was so hot and there was no breeze so I shut the window and turned the air con on.
