Dinner at Northam Beach Cafe, Penang.

Last Friday, we started our journey from Ipoh about 12.00 pm and after our lunch at Bukit Mertajam, we crossed over to Penang using the 1st Penang Bridge. We reached Penang Island about 2.50 pm.
With the help of GPS, we drove to the place our friends had booked for us.
Here we were at Sri York Condominium. Our friend asked us why we took so long to reach their place. Ha ha, our GPS was not set to take short cuts!
A very nice and comfortable place with a swimming pool. We have no time to enjoy the pool this time.
We were blessed with beautiful blue sky.
Surrounded with plenty of green trees and plants.
View of the surrounding buildings. After having rested and refreshed, we set out for an early dinner.
We had to get to church before 8pm in time for the wake service and we didn't want to get caught in the traffic jam.
Our friend recommended us this place which is not too far away, food okay and price reasonable.
We were here early about 6pm to avoid the crowd and traffic.
This place faces the sea. This view was on my right.
And this was on my left.
When we arrived, there were not many customers.
But as we sat to eat our dinner, the place started to fill up.
There were so many stalls to choose from.
First, we ordered Ice Kacang - 3 bowls for 4 people.
Mrs B ordered Penang Hokkien Beehoon Mee (Prawn Noodle).
I ordered these 2 items. Assam laksa for myself and 3 pieces of deep fried chicken wings to share.
I missed Penang Assam Laksa very much and this was enough to satisfy my craving.
3 pieces of crispy deep fried belacan (prawn paste) chicken wings.
Mr B ordered this clear soup fish noodle with pieces of fish and some taro cubes.
Hubby's fried prawn noodle with 2 prawns and hard boiled egg slices. To me, this looked like fried spaghetti.
Hubby also ordered some chicken satay for us.
As we ate, we watched the setting sun.
After dinner, it was time to start our drive to church.
One more pic of the setting sun.
A towering building facing us.

O God, listen to my cry! Hear my prayer!
From the ends of the earth,
I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed.
Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for you are my safe refuge,
a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.
Let me live forever in your sanctuary,
safe beneath the shelter of your wings!
(Psalm 61:1-4, NLT)

  1. You lead a totally different life style than mine, because I eat mostly at home.. Today curry rice, curry chicken and fesh vegetable salad... Quick and easy to do.
