Fresh Palm Wine & Seafood Lunch At Makanan Laut Jit Yue Hiong, Sitiawan.

Once we have finished our sightseeing, it was time for lunch and we were looking forward to a seafood lunch. We still preferred our regular place and once we have settled down, my friends did the ordering. We didn't order much because of the kompia or bagel snack. We also ordered 2 bowls of Foochow red wine chicken noodle to try while at the sightseeing site. I didn't take any photo of the noodle.
Whenever we are here, this is a must order - very fresh palm wine.
A friend requested for a small bottle of Guinness Stout to mix with the fresh palm wine. I took a sip to taste but I found that I preferred the plain palm wine on its own.
Oyster & egg omelette - Sitiawan style.
Someone took a piece before I could get my camera ready. Lol!
Steamed fish - Teochew style - fish very fresh and tasty.
A plate of fried rice vermicelli.
Stir fried green veggie with garlic.
A small bowl of sweet sour fish maw soup.
I love this but none of my family member likes this.
We were the early birds.
Then followed by the later birds....
Signboards by the roadside....Kampung Cina, Sitiawan.
It was about 2 pm and time to hit the road to Damai Laut. GPS showed about 26 km and will take about 35 to 40 mins to reach depending on the traffic flow. It was a smooth drive all the way.
"That, by the way, is what baptism pictures for us:
In baptism we show that we have been saved from death
and doom by the resurrection of Christ;
not because our bodies are washed clean by the water
but because in being baptized we are turning to God
and asking him to cleanse our hearts from sin"
(1 Peter 3:21, The Living Bible-TLB)
