Lunch At Vegan Delights Cafe, Jalan Kampar, Ipoh.

Last Monday, my sister-in-law and family were in Ipoh. Together with a few friends, we gathered for a vegetarian lunch because my sister-in-law and family are vegetarian. We couldn't make up our minds where to go for lunch and a friend suggested a new place that we have not been to. Altogether there were 7 of us and we had to get a long table. While waiting for the others to turn up, we took some snap shots of the interior.
We were seated next to this.
This wooden shelf holding the plants called mother-in-law's tongue caught our attention. It is claimed that these plants improve indoor air quality and that they convert carbon dioxide into oxygen at night.
We were discussing how we could adopt this idea for our homes.
Most of the kitchen staffs, helpers and servers here communicate with sign language. Order forms are provided on the tables and customers are encouraged to fill up the form with the coding provided for the items on the menu. And the customers are to make payment at the counter. Food will then be served to us at our table.

  1. The food all does look very good. I want some! I have had several mother-in-laws tongue. They are the easiest of all house plants to grow. They are not fussy about light or water and seem to survive on almost nothing.

  11. I really like the idea of re-using jam jars as drink glasses...it's a way of recycling things and it does got a character design:) I could definitely be a vegetarian...the food looks very attractive, Nancy!

  24. I love my veggies, but I'm not particularly fond of the "fake" meat. I'd rather just have veggies - I don't need the meat substitute.
