Spring Of Living Water & Miscellany Photos

I actually planned to post this on the 31st of December 2017 but somehow it was not to be. So I am posting this today.
A miniature water mill found in the lobby of a hotel.
A lighted paper hand fan on the wall.
A lighted signboard of a restaurant.
We ate the above and the durian (below) for dinner one evening.
Chinese style fruit rojak and fried chicken. The guava fruit, cucumber and fried chicken were from friends. We bought the rojak sauce from a stall.
 Delicious durian from a friend.
This was another evening's dinner which we took at a restoran.
This dinner for 2 people costs MYR 13.50
Stained glass in a church originally built in 1896.
On the 31st December morning which was a Sunday, as we sat in church we were challenged by the speaker to look back on how we have spent the year 2017 before we move on into the new year 2018. The message was in Chinese. What is our life's purpose here on earth and what is God's will for our life?
One afternoon, a friend showed us this little stream. The water was quite clear and we saw 3 youth playing in the water.
This is a fresh water stream flowing from a waterfall. As I watched the water flowing over the rocks, the following verse came to my mind.

Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. (John 7:38)
Those staying nearby could hear the sound of flowing water.
On the other side, there are steps leading down to the stream.
A quiet place to reflect on the past and think of the vision ahead.
The little flowers were found growing near the stream.
The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field;
the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more
(Psalm 103:15-16)
But from everlasting to everlasting
the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children -
with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.
(Psalm 103:17-18, New International Version-NIV)

  8. Well your little stream would be frozen here in Amherstburg. It's in the minus degrees and it's snowing at the moment. See ya Nancy.
