Lunch At Restoran Thong Lok, Tanjung Tualang.

After the visit to the Tanjung Tualang Tin Dredge No. 5 (TT5) and gallery ended, we were taken to Tanjung Tualang town for lunch at one of the seafood restaurant. We have been to other restaurants  but this is my first visit to this Restoran Thong Lok.
The organizer of the trip had pre-ordered the food.
We were seated near this fish tank.
I was told that these are "Sai Toh" fish in Cantonese.
I don't know what is the name in English.

We had the following dishes for lunch.
 Sweet sour mud crabs
Fried mantou or plain bun to go with the sweet sour crabs gravy.
Paku pakis veggie stir fried with spicy prawn paste
Deep fried tofu topped with crispy fried tiny shrimps.
 Steamed drunken fresh water prawns
Blanched romaine lettuce topped with garlic oil & oyster sauce.
By the time we reached home, it was about 3.30 pm.
After our afternoon nap, I cooked the above for our dinner.
Packet instant noodle (dry version) with fried egg.
 Blanched some romaine lettuce.
Sambal dried shrimp from Tg Tualang

A bus stop in front of a school fence.
Breaking of dawn

The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking;
he rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins.

  1. The food looks very good. And those fish in the tank...I have never seen anything like them! They are shaped like sea shells. Were they there to look at or to eat?
