Nasi Lemak Specially Delivered To My House

In one of my earlier posts, I shared some photos of my salted calamansi limes.
The left picture shows the calamansi limes being salted. The right picture shows the lime being pickled in salt water as the salt melted. After about 2 weeks, I used the salted calamansi limes to make thick syrup which is used as a remedy for dry throat, sore throat, throat irritation, and cough.
 I melted the cane rock sugar in some water over medium flame, add screw pine (pandan) leaves and when the sugar dissolved, I add in the calamansi limes. After boiling for a short while, I allowed it to cool before keeping it in glass jar. Just place 2 limes with some syrup into a mug, add warm water or room temperature water to make a refreshing drink. If you like it cold, you can add ice cubes.
 My sister in law gave me some red dragon fruits. Everyday I ate one for lunch.
 Hubby won't eat dragon fruit because of the colour so I cut orange for him.

That evening just when I was starting to take out foodstuffs from the fridge to prepare dinner, my friend called up to inform that she will be delivering some nasi lemak to my house. The timing was just right, so all the foodstuffs went back into the fridge.
My friend's sister cooked nasi lemak and it includes curry chicken.
 There was nasi lemak (rice cooked in coconut milk), more than enough for 2 people. She even packed the above cucumber for us.
 And there is a small botter of sambal belacan (spicy dried prawn paste) to eat with the nasi lemak.
 Dinner for 2 people.
After our nasi lemak dinner, I washed the dishes and after a while, hubby invited me out to have a drink at our regular coffee shop. Unsweetened black coffee for hubby and I ordered unsweetened coffee. Sometimes I won't be able to sleep after drinking coffee but that night, I slept well.

With them on guard you can sleep without fear;
you need not be afraid of disaster or the plots of wicked men,
for the Lord is with you; he protects you.
(Proverbs 3:24-26, The Living Bible-TLB)
