Yesterday was 42nd day MCO. These days I have to check with my smart phone for the correct day and date. Spending all day at home taking things easy makes me lost track of the day and the date.
The rain and the gray sky make me lazy and sleepy.
~~~~~
Yesterday early in the morning, received a call from a friend telling hubby to collect breakfast from her stall after 8:00 am. Under current MCO ruling, all stalls are only allowed to open at 8:00 am. Hubby also brought back a packet of fresh raw squids.
2 pieces of soft buns
A packet of nasi lemak with prawn sambal and 2 squid balls.
2 pieces of Chinese doughnuts.
Simple breakfast for 2 people.
Dinner
Hubby helped to fry the chicken fillet while I cleaned and blanched the fresh squids given by our friend. I drizzled some garlic oil and a mixture of oyster and soy sauce over the blanched squids before serving.
I also blanched green veggie (choy fah), drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Cooked 2 pieces of dried Cintan noodles, drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
I packed a bit of each item (above) minus the sardine dish for hubby to deliver to our friend for her dinner before she closes her stall for the day.
Dinner for 2 people.
Later in the evening when I went to lock the gate, my neighbour handed the above papayas to me. Thank God for blessings received through friend and neighbour.
It is the Lord's blessing that brings wealth,
and no hard work can add to it.
(Proverbs 10:22, Easy To Read Version-EVR)
Yeah, blessings from our good friends and neighbour really enlighten up the MCO mood...
ReplyDeleteI bought 2 wanton noodle from the market. Can't keep too long.
DeleteWow! Fresh raw squids must be quite difficult to clean, right?
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I find cleaning squids easier than cleaning fish.
DeleteThere is a song about rainy days and Mondays always get me down. It makes me want to sleep all of the time, too, when it is raining too much.
ReplyDeleteIt is raining now. Gray sky and feel cool. Nice to curl up in bed and go to sleep. How I wish I could do that. If I did, I won't be able to sleep at night.
DeleteOooooo I love papayas, I wish they grew here. The only ones I can buy are not ripe and they do not ripen well before rotting!! Keep well and have a safe weekend. Diane
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diane. We used to grow papaya trees but the roots were cracking up the cement floors outside our house. Stay safe and healthy. Happy weekend.
DeleteQue tengas un buen fin de semana. Besitos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Teresa.
DeleteThat looks like a very good meal indeed, with squid rings and torpedo-shaped chicken.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Stacy.
