Crispy Deep Fried Fish With Plain Rice Porridge

On Tuesday, we had a lunch date with our friends. We want to take porridge for lunch, so we planned to meet at Restoran Kar Heng, Jalan C.M. Yusuf (Jalan Chamberlain). The restaurant has tables that can sit 2, 3 or 4 people. There were 5 of us, so we had to occupy 2 tables near to each other. One table for 2 people and another table for 3 people.
Mixed pork porridge (chu chap chook in Cantonese)
Hubby didn't want the blood curd cubes but found them in the porridge. He just leave them in the bowl.
I ordered fried fish porridge and was given this plate of freshly fried fish.
My bowl of pain porridge was served separately.

After lunch we drove to old town to visit an interesting museum. I will share our visit in another post or posts after I have sorted out the photos.

Home cooked dinner
We decided to have a pot bless dinner at our friend's house.
I love this beautiful evening sky.
Driving to our friend's house for dinner.
Petai or stinky beans with minced pork and sambal cooked by friend.
Steamed eggs with tofu by friend.
Duck soup from my kitchen.
Duck with salted vegetables, carrot, tomatoes, onions, and sour plum.

Can horses run on rocks? Can oxen plow the sea?
Stupid even to ask - but no more stupid than what you do
when you make a mockery of justice and
corrupt and sour all that should be good and right.

  11. That sky is so pretty...and the food looks tasty. We just had lunch with Roger's cousin for the first time in ages and ages and it was so nice to be a little bit normal.
