Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner On 1st Day MCO 2.0

It was drizzling in the early morning, the first day of lockdown (MCO 2.0). By the time the drizzling stopped, we looked at the clock and decided not to go out for morning walk.

7:00am
I went outside to take some snapshots.
Sunrise at 7:02am
8:09am
For the rest of the day, it was gray sky.
~~~~~
I had walnut and sesame bread which I bought from Aeon Big the day before. I told hubby that I will be eating bread and he only need to buy breakfast for himself.
Walnut & sesame bread.
I took out 3 pieces of the bread and spread butter and nutella chocolate and hazelnut jam on the bread.
Hubby is not a fan of bread, so he went out to buy fried rice vermicelli from our regular coffee shop.
Breakfast for 2 people on the 22 January, 2021 (1st day MCO 2.0).
My hibiscus plant is currently doing well.
I heated up 2 croissants which I also bought from Aeon Big in the oven. I pan fried some smoked bacon and hubby and I had a croissant sandwiched with smoked bacon.
I was thinking of what to cook for dinner when I received a call from our friend. She wanted to give us 2 glutinous rice dumplings and needed hubby to collect from her.
I re-steamed the glutinous rice dumplings, removed the wrappings and placed one of each plate. Hubby and I had dumpling for our dinner.
She bought 3 dumplings for RM10.
Very nice and flavourful.
"Good salt is worthless if it loses its saltiness;
it can't season anything.
So don't lose your flavour! Live in peace with each other."
    1. Our favourite bakchang is no more selling but now we found one pasar malam stall in my area. The size is slightly smaller but much cheaper, selling 3 bakchang for RM10.
  4. Can still get 3 dumplings for rm10? I always think the Rm7 or 8 is overpriced and there are those even higher.
    I would also pick fried vermicelli over bread hehe.
    1. We used to buy 1 dumpling for about RM5.60 to RM6. Recently, we came to know of this pasar malam stall in my area selling 3 for RM10. They are slightly smaller in size but the taste is good.
    1. Actually the nutella was for hubby as he wanted to try but later found it too sweet. Since I don't like to waste food, I will just have to finish it. I too find it too sweet for my liking.
  23. I need to check out hibicus plant as I know there is some in USA. Your yellow plant looks nice!! I nearly bought a hellebore the other day when shopping at Fred Meyer. They were outside as I was going indoors. I have both of them. I do need to plant them in the ground sometime. Both are in pots. Your food looks good. I need to make cookies this week as we are running low on what we have. Sorry to read you are in a lock down. We are still in same zone as before...waiting for restaurants to open for dine in as they did before virus hit. We went our lunch after church thru drive thru at Panera. Sandwich and soup for both of us. Then decided to get a vanilla cinnamon roll. We split it for our snack a bit later in afternoon. So delicious! I think I might see about get 1/2 dozen and see if they can put chocolate icing on it for my birthday that is coming up in mid February!! Have a good week!!!
    1. I checked out hellebore and they are pretty flowers which I don't think I have seen before. We will be on the lookout for updates this week on whether the lockdown will be extended or move on to lesser restriction. We are also trying to help our local eateries struggling to stay on business at this time of pandemic. In case I forget, I want to wish you, "Happy and blessed Birthday to you". Have a great new week.
