Roast Pork + BBQ Sausage Rice & Instant Kampua Mee Noodle

This was one of those mornings with clear sky and white clouds.

We walked over to the shops to buy breakfast.
We have tried the yam bean dumplings or chai kuih (right) and we like it, so we bought 3 sets. Kept 1 set for ourselves and 2 sets for our neighbour. We chose the set consisting of stuffed green chili, tofu, brinjal and bitter gourd. 4 sets for RM10.
Hubby walked over to the next door coffee shop to buy 1 packet of nasi lemak, 1 you tiao and 2 ma keok. Whatever we couldn't finish were kept for tea or lunch.
This nasi lemak is only RM1.50, cheap and tasty.
Deep red Caladium from my garden.
It is now growing well under semi shade.
Hubby went out to buy roast pork and bbq sausage rice. I taxed 2 spoonful and ate whatever was left from breakfast.
A friend dropped by to collect something from me and gave me 3 tuna buns. I ate one and then only remember to take a snapshot. These 2 were kept for afternoon tea.
These plants died a few times and I thought I lost them for good but after a while, surprisingly they reappeared. They seem to like this new place under semi shade, so I won't move them anywhere else.
For dinner, I cooked instant Sibu Kampua noodle (gift from a friend) to eat with fried chicken (from our neighbour) and home cooked sambal stinky bean with minced pork.
A big rainwater droplet collected on the leaf.
This is one of my favourite caladiums.

And remember that your heavenly Father to whom
you pray has no favorites when he judges.
He will judge you with perfect justice for everything you do;
so act in reverent fear of him from now on until you get to heaven.

BBQ Stuffed Pork Intestine & Noodles Meatballs Soup

Today is 16th day MCO. For the past few days, hubby has been keeping himself occupied by repainting the garden walls.
The repainting is almost done.
He will probably think of another project to keep himself busy while I take care of the housework and the cooking.
Yesterday's breakfast.
French toast and bread for dipping into half boiled eggs.
After breakfast, I harvested the above from my garden.
Later in the morning, a friend called me to collect the above vegetable from her stall. This is "kau kee choy" or wolf berry leaves which is usually used for making soup.
Hubby went out to buy BBQ stuffed pork intestine which we had for lunch. Only this, nothing else. Our friend called us again to collect 2 more green vegetables. No photo to show but they are mustard green (choy sum) and baby Chinese cabbage (siew bok choy). These green leafy vegetables can't keep for long, so I decided to cook noodle soup with them.
Hubby's noodle and meatballs soup with choy sum with "pei tan" or century egg. The noodle is non fried dried Cintan noodle.
My noodle and meatball soup with "kau kee choy" and egg.
I used wheat flour noodle or "meesua" which hubby doesn't eat.
Our dinner with bird's eye chili in soy sauce for dipping.
One late morning when the sun was up, I was trying to take a snapshot of the cassava or tapioca plants. It ended up with my shadow in the snapshot.
Next to the cassava or tapioca plants, I planted a row of taro or yam plants.
Both the cassava and taro will take about a year before they are ready for harvest.

He waters the earth to make it fertile.
The rivers of God will not run dry!
He prepares the earth for his people and
sends them rich harvests of grain.

Crispy Skin And Juicy Roasted Pork At Taman Pertama, Ipoh

If you are looking for crispy skin and juicy roasted pork, I will recommend that you try the roasted pork at Restoran First Kwong Chow in First Garden (Taman Pertama), Ipoh. I have tried roasted pork from a few places around Ipoh and personally, I find this roasted pork in First Garden one of the best in Ipoh. I wouldn't dare say it is the best because it is up to individual's taste.

Most of our friends from outstation or from other parts of Ipoh will request for this roasted pork whenever they come to First Garden. If the visitors come at the right time, we will usually recommend this roasted pork to them.
This stall starts business after 2 pm. Even before business starts, customers will be waiting.

Below are some of our orders for different visits.

Roasted stuffed intestine casing (minced meat, etc. as filling)

A mixture of roasted pork and stuffed intestine casing.

Dearly loved friends, don't always believe everything you hear
just because someone says it is a message from God:
test it first to see if it really is.
For there are many false teachers around...
