Lui Cha Noodle, Fried Chicken, Stuffed Bitter Gourd & Brinjal

This was a Monday.

Our morning walk started at 7:05am.
7:10am.
That morning we at breakfast at Kedai Kopi Sin Choy Yuen, Taman Pertama.
Hubby ordered fried rice vermicelli and I ordered the above "lui cha pan mee" or "thunder tea" noodle.
Lui Cha Pan Mee.
On the way home, I stopped to take a snapshot of the above wild mushrooms growing on a tree stump by the roadside. The wild mushrooms look like white oyster mushrooms.
Birds flying above us.
Corn plants growing in pots in my garden.
Figs from my garden.
That morning, I harvested this big purple custard apple from my garden.
These were harvested from my garden.
~~~~~
I went to the mini post office in Aeon Falim to renew my driving license. It was lunch time and we dined-in at Universe Chicken.
We ordered 2 sets of fried chicken.
We ordered the salted egg series with 2 pieces of drumsticks that includes potato fries and refillable soft drink @ RM16.90
And a ala carte set with 2 pieces of chicken thigh, original flavour @ RM12.90. Total cost including 6% service charge - RM31.59
~~~~~
The fastest way to use up the white bitter gourds and brinjals harvested from my garden is to stuff them with minced port + fish paste.
We ate the whole plate (above) for dinner without any rice.
We had Kewpie roasted sesame dressing and Thai chili as dippings.
Sunset sky at 7:30pm.

Today is the 1st day of the Lent 40 days prayer and fasting.
HAVE A BLESSED ASH WEDNESDAY!

But when you pray, go away by yourself, all alone,
and shut the door behind you and pray to your Father secretly,
and your Father, who knows your secrets, will reward you.

Mee Jawa, Wonton Noodle, Stuffed Okras, Brinjals & Tofu Puffs.

This was last Thursday, the day we celebrated Malaysia Day. The day started with clear blue sky and some white fluffy clouds.

7:17am - view of Kledang Hill.
7:30am
7:38am - sunrise partially blocked by clouds.
~~~~~
We went out to town to buy breakfast.
Mee jawa for hubby.
With a piece of crispy cracker.
Wonton noodle with chicken meat for me.
Wonton noodle with chicken meat and mushroom gravy.
Added 4 pieces of sui kao dumplings for sharing.
~~~~~
From my garden.
Green brinjals
Long green okras or ladies fingers.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner
Home made stuffed green brinjals.
Ingredients for stuffing: minced meat, fish paste, 1 egg, some oyster sauce and cornflour. I use Chinese chives instead of spring onions since I have some chives in the fridge.
The tofu puffs are store bought.
I passed some over the concrete wall to my neighbour.
This is one of the best dipping sauce for the stuffed items.
My neighbour blessed us with this black vinegar pork trotter.
No rice for me but I steamed a small portion of rice for hubby.
We kept half of the stuffed items for the next day.
The day ended with this sunset.
Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife;
quarrels and insults are ended.
Stuffed Ingredients And Chee Cheong Fun For Dinner
I have a few purple and white eggplant or brinjal plants growing in my garden. They have been very fruitful.
 White brinjal or eggplant, slim and long ones.
 I harvest some stunted purple brinjals from an old plant and some slim and long white brinjals.
The next day, I harvested these lovely white brinjals and 2 more purple ones.
Another morning, I harvested the above.
How to use up all the above?
I could only think of making stuffed ingredients.
Stuffed white and purple brinjals, bitter gourds, long beans, stubby okras, tofu and tofu puffs. Made the stuffing with fish paste, minced pork, chopped spring onions and chilies.
Set aside the above for that evening's dinner with chili sauce as dipping. The rest kept in the freezer until needed.
We were blessed with 2 packets of steamed flat noodle (chee cheong fun) by a friend and we ate with our stuffed ingredients for dinner.
The steamed flat noodles were packed with sauce, and pig's skin and long beans curry.
Due to excessive rain, my pink fairy lilies are happily flowering.
During this monsoon season, we see dark clouds almost every late afternoon or evening.
Heavy thunderstorm expected anytime in the evening.
When we see dark cloud like this, we usually choose to stay home unless unavoidable.
The LORD spread a cloud above them as a covering
and gave them a great fire to light the darkness.
(Psalm 105:39, The Living Bible-TLB)
