Dinner At Sun Place Cafe, Menglembu, Ipoh

We woke up on Wednesday morning to be greeted with more and worse haze. The whole day was dark and gloomy.
I took this and the following photos around 7.30 am in the morning.
There was no sunlight.
The surrounding hills could not be seen.
This photo was taken about 12.30 pm, couldn't see the sun.

I was in no mood to cook that night and I suggested going to Menglembu for dinner. A friend has told me about the new location of this eatery.
According to my friend they used to call this food court Kafe Big Fan.
Now it is changed to Sun Place Cafe.
It is at Lorong Kledang Timur 10, Menglembu, Ipoh.
It was named Big Fan because there are 2 giant fans hanging from the high ceiling for the whole of the food court. Enough to make the place breezy.
The time was about 6.45 pm. We were one of the early customers.
There are many variety of stalls to choose from.
Our target is the stall next to the Bak Kut Teh stall. I do not know the name because it is written in Chinese. I have only tasted their food once when they were in their former location before they shifted to this present place.
I remembered the first time we ordered this Black Vinegar Pig's Trotter, the portion was small. This time round it was quite a big bowl. The pieces of trotter was well cooked.
Thinking that the trotter was a small portion, I ordered a deep fried Tilapia fish with spicy sauce. Looks more like Assam curry to me or maybe I ordered wrongly. Anyway I enjoyed the sourish, spicy gravy and the veggie very much. I alone ate more than half of the fish. I love to eat fish.
Not knowing the big portion of the first two dishes, I ordered this sweet potato leaves, stir fried with garlic. In order to finish these dishes, we both shared one plate of white rice.
Total cost of a satisfying dinner is MYR36 (approx. 8.46 USD)

My son, never forget the things I've taught you.
If you want a long and satisfying life,
closely follow my instructions.

  19. That haze sounds serious. Not able to see and feel the sun must be depressant. No wonder you don't feel like cooking dinner that night. The food looks good... not sure about the pig trotters though..., lol.
