Early Morning Greeting From Critters

It was morning and we were going out for our breakfast. As we were walking along the 5 foot way along to the coffee shop, I saw this cat napping on the floor.
When she heard our footsteps, she opened her eyes, stirred and stretched.

Oh! She is pregnant with kitties! She was not afraid and didn't move from its place.

Even when I stopped to snap her photo, she minded her own business.
She started to clean herself and I quickly caught up with my hubby.

Hubby breakfast. A plate of flat rice noodle with gravy (wat tan hor) + black coffee.

My simple breakfast. 2 slices of toasted bread with butter and coconut jam (kaya). And a cup of hot nescafe to go with the bread. Once in a while, I crave for a nice hot cup of nescafe.

Met this dog on my way to the mini market.

When I aimed my camera at him, he turned away - camera shy!

Greeting from pigeons above me when I walked into my garden.

I managed to snap this picture of the nectar sucking bird. I do not know the name of this bird. It loves the fire crackers flowers.

There are 2 birds in this photo. Can you spot them?
Their back is brownish and their underside is yellow.

I am so happy I managed to capture this. That's the nearest I can get.
Have a blessed Saturday!

Linking to Saturday's critters.

"But blessed are those who trust in the LORD
and have made the LORD their hope and confidence."

  1. Lovely photos, Nancy, and your simple breakfast looks wonderful! Animals are great greeters any time of day! My cat is my alarm clock, and I prefer his meows to the sound of the alarm. :)

    1. Thank you, Linda. I once had my pet dog as my alarm clock and he woke me up by licking my face. That was when I was still schooling, so many years ago.

  3. Hello Nancy!:) Mel my little sausage dog wakes me up every morning like clockwork by pulling at my bedclothes. I forgive her anything!:) How lovely that you get those yellow breasted birds in your garden. Neat photos of all the other ctitters too. Spots my other dog is camera shy, and always turns his head away, when I try to take his photograph.:(

  4. Nancy, that little bird must be very happy in your garden! I have seen one like it in my garden too but it was too fast for me to snap photo. Is it a hummingbird? It is so tiny and dainty.

    1. Hello, Sharon. Maybe the puppy thinks you are going to take it away from its mother. Most times, the adult dogs will turn away or walk away from me when I try to take their picture.
