Keeping Up With The Times

I have been hearing a lot about shopping on Amazon, ebay, etc. and I was curious but have not the opportunity to learn how to go about it. I like to learn new things because I know that we need to keep up with the times. It may not be easy for me as a retiree because I am a slower learner now compared to my younger days but that did not stop me from learning.

One Sunday afternoon after church, I had lunch with some friends. We have not met for quite a while. I was seated next to a young lady friend who has been a great help to me with her knowledge of computers, mobile phones, cameras, etc. She is a wonderful young lady and very patient with us elderly students. She took the time and trouble to explain and help us in whatever way she could whenever we are stuck with our modern gadgets or any online services.

After our meal, my lady friend was showing me something she just bought from ebay and also her experience with an oversea purchasing and shipment website.

Previously, she will have to get her brother who is staying in United States to buy whatever she wanted because some US Merchants do not recognize or accept her credit card. Then she will have to wait till he comes home for his holidays which is probably once a year or even longer.
