Anything that is simple suits me well. I had a packet of minced meat in my fridge. What should I cook with the minced meat? I looked again and saw that I had eggs. Should I fry or should I steam? Finally, this lazy me chose to steam because it saved me a lot of work. I cracked 2 chicken eggs and mixed it well with the minced meat. I added some water and seasoning. When the water in the steamer was boiling, I placed the plate of minced meat and egg mixture into the steamer to steam over low fire.
This was my plate of steamed minced meat with chicken eggs. During my childhood days, my mom would steam this dish for me whenever I was sick, I would eat this dish with white rice porridge.
Blanched broccoli drizzled with garlic oil and oyster sauce.
2 super simple dishes + steamed rice for our dinner.

Nancy, your home cooked steam mince meat with eggs also brought a nostalgic childhood memory. My mother would also steam the same dish for me whenever I'm sick and eaten with plain white rice porridge too. Must be the 'in' thing to do in those days. I forgot about this dish, perhaps I should try to cook this one day soon:)
ReplyDeleteHi Annie, I too have the nostalgic memory whenever I cook this minced meat with egg dish. My family enjoy this dish too. I hope your family will enjoy it too!
