This breakfast outing took place quite some time ago. The photos folder was overlooked until now. Our friend wanted to take us to a new place for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. Hubby and I went in our car to pick up our friend from her house.
I snapped this photo at about 9 am waiting in front of her house. The cloud looks like waves in the sky.
The cloud waves act like a translucent blanket over us to protect us from the bright sun. From her house, we drove to Bercham to look for this Makan Nyonya Cafe. We found it quite easily.
Cafe Makan Nyonya,
57, Laluan Tasek Timur 3, Pusat Perdagangan Tasek Indra, Ipoh.
(near to Tesco Extra, Bercham)
Front entrance to the cafe.
We ordered the following for our late breakfast.
Mung beans sweet porridge boiled with palm sugar on the left.
Herbal tea in the centre and black coffee on the right.
Nyonya Assam Laksa - suitable for those who cannot take too spicy.
Herbal ban mee.
Painting on the wall.
Floral aluminium trays on top and picture menu below.
Traditional Nyonya straw baskets as decorations.
We were seated nearer to the front of the shop. I missed taking photos of the antique furniture found further inside the cafe.
Close up of the Batik printed cloth used as decoration.
Antique ceramic plates, pots, vases with beautiful designs and part of an antique chair.
Linking to Tuesday's Treasures & Image-in-ing.
If you exalt wisdom, she will exalt you.
Hold her fast, and she will lead you to great honor;
she will place a beautiful crown upon your head.
